you keep ignoring that diggs doesn't want to be here. No one is screaming to dump diggs just because we want draft picks. If the dude isn't happy and we can gain something fairly significant for him then why not? Is it because keeping unhappy diva wrs usually gets better? Oh wait no it usually turns into a sh1t show so why not get ahead of all that and move him before his value gets damaged with a situation like that. Initially on the field diggs would be missed but the cupboard isn't bare. Thielan is still a top 20 wr and Johnson who everyone dismisses had 30 catches and 3 tds as a rookie. Diggs had 50 catches as a rookie btw. Add to that its a deep draft for wrs and we still have rudy cook and an emerging smith in the passing game.

I haven't read through this thread so forgive the ignorant question but, is Stefon Diggs really unhappy here? I get that he deleted all his Vikings stuff from social media but has he come out and said he doesn't want to be here, or has it been reported that his agent is seeking a trade?

I'm talking about recently, not what he did last year.

As I said, I was told this right around the time of his exit interview. Basically, he wanted out ... and made it very clear. Maybe it was just him being emotional with how the season ended, but also, if it has anything to do with "his brand" - who the eff knows? As I also said, I was just going to keep my pie hole shut about what I heard, BUT, as these rumors continue to blow up, I just figured I'd finally mention it. Where there is this much smoke...

But then you also have guys like Greenway and Leber speaking out about this, too. Basically saying Diggs wants to be "the guy" and doesn't like sharing the spotlight. Wouldn't that also tie into this whole "brand" thing? Either way, as someone pointed out, being a cry-baby-pee-pants isn't going to help his brand any, so if the Vikings don't get blown away by an offer, he'll play in Minnesota. He's a competitor, so he'll be out there. I'm not too worried about it either way. At this point, though, nothing would surprise me. I hope he's still with us, but...

I'll be more concerned when people like Goessling, Pelissero, Schefter, etc. speak this into existence...

Hadn't heard the Chad Greenway or Ben Leber stories but I would believe both of those guys as well.

And it always seems to leak out somehow when a team is Seeking to trade a player. Not necessarily from the organization seeking the trade, but someone from another organization who leaks the information. It's how guys like Adam schefter make a living.

Yes, I am ignoring it because I simply don't care where he "wants" to be. If he didn't want to be here long term, than he should have refused that $15M bonus we gave him when he signed his extension. Well, he didn't. He took it and signed a five year extension. That makes him ours for five years. He can play for us or play for nobody.

How is he handling it in the media? He hasn't said a thing. So now because he hasn't answered to a media driven narrative he wants out?
