What do you have? A lil spreadsheet LOL. Care to look at what they have for available cap? What only 82 million vs negative as we sit here today. Again you have overlooked who and or what the numbers hold. Are all their FA starters or 2nd string? Just so you understand real life is there if you care to look. It can tell you a lot. I know you think your some sort of cap genius with that spreadsheet may want to look around the real world.
Overlooked? I was simply pointing out that many teams had a lot of free agents, that's all. I wasn't intending to take a deep look into the Cowboys' cap situation, as it doesn't mirror the Vikings' situation at the moment. But, since you asked so nicely:
(Cowboys starters who are hitting free agency - estimated salary on next contract, via Spotrac or other sources)
QB Dak Prescott - $31-33M (franchise tag)
WR Amari Cooper - $19.7M
DL Michael Bennett - > $6M
CB Anthony Brown (nickel) - $4-6M
DT Maliek Collins - $10-$12M
DE Robert Quinn - $10-$12M
K Kai Forbath - > $1M
SS Jeff Heath - > $3M
CB Byron Jones - $14-15M
OLB Sean Lee - $5-7M
TE Jason Witten - $4M
And there you have it. 11 starters of varying importance about to hit free agency. This doesn't even include the potential Prescott extension that could reach up to $40M a year!
There's already talk that Cooper and Jones are going to hit free agency to sign massive deals there, so the Boys can't count on guys taking discounts. They have room with $82M, certainly more than the Vikings, but they're about to commit more to Prescott than the Vikings will be paying to Cousins.
