If the Vikes can't curb stomp the Bears on Sunday I'll be stunned. I really will. This game should be a bigtime confidence boost for the Vikes going into the playoffs.

We'll have to count this as our Enemy Fan Forums this week.

I've been swamped with work, travel, the holidays, life... Also, not super interested in throwing one together with our backups likely playing. Bears fans are pretty meh about this game too with it being pretty much "meaningless" for both.

Anyway, I hope JABF is right! I could go for a good curb-stomping!

I doubt we play hard enough or use enough starters to stomp anybody.
Maybe we do just enough to win but we are not a stomp'em team very often even at full strength.
I still have very little interest in this game. In fact I have more to fear. Like playing badly and stumbling even further backwards into the playoffs. Nothing to gain but yet somehow too much to lose in a meaningless game.

Saving it for next week. Win or lose this week I'll be into that game.

If being a Viking fan was easy ~ everyone would do it.

This team has been a major disappointment. My eyes were opened in the second half of the Detroit game. No killer instinct, just hang on for the win. A lot like prevent defense. And now the team cannot figure out how to turn the offense back on. Answer : you should never turn it off. Zimmer has pretty much stated he likes keeping it close until end and then finish strong. How to fix this team ? I think it’s way too late this year. The O line is horrendous. We want to be a playoff team and that is what was put on the field Mon night at home - no outside or grass excuses available . We are not good enough in the trenches. Yes the D line can rush the passer at times but how often are we getting gashed tor 7,8,or 9 yard up the gut on first down hand offs.
This team is all dressed up for the dance but under the dress are wooden legs. They should win this game cause there is no pressure and it’s meaningless, games they excel at.

Meh, I agree with some of your points but honestly, style points don't matter in the NFL. The Patriots won ugly a lot last year and got blown out by a bunch of inferior teams, but found a way to win it all. I'm not saying the Vikings are SB contenders but they have played close to really good competition and I feel like we are not far away from winning those games.

I just don’t think this is a very good football team. Or maybe they have a lot of talent and cannot put it all together/under preforming. Yes the coaching questions then come up.
I just think we should all be realistic that this team looks better on paper than on a football field.
