US Bank Stadium is gonna be rooooockin'. Regardless of what happens with the Rams, the Vikings want a big win over the Packers to keep their hopes of winning the division alive! Do the Packers stay winless in our house? Vikes fans hope so! But let's see what the Packer Backers have to say!

I have no idea how this is going to go. It could go several different ways.
The Vikings have been bringing their "A" game for the past several weeks. If they continue that on Monday night and the Packers don't manage to bring their own "A" game, it's going to be ugly.
Conversely, if the Packers bring it and the Vikings don't, the Packers will win big.
If both teams bring it, I suspect it will come down to one of those endings where whomever has the ball last, wins. I like our chances there just because Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins.
If neither team brings it, I believe it will come down to a big play or two. Turnovers and/or Special Teams play, I'm thinking. Turnovers, I like our chances. ST, not so much. Crosby is clearly the better kicker, by far, but in every other aspect of ST, I think they have us outgunned by a good margin. Tyler Ervin has been a godsend in the return game, though, so I suppose we might go toe to toe with them on returns. Might.

Total hot garbage take but is this a game you play vanilla ala what ARZ did vs GB in was it 09'? and save everything up for what will likely be a playoff rematch? I think you still have to play for the #2 but the odds seem so steep against clinching it. It basically boils down to SF needing to lose to SEA and LAR with GB winning out. Regardless it seems like a ton of unexpected things have to happen for GB to see anyone but MIN @ Lambeau in RD1.
The Pack needs to get off the schneid and win one in the McStadium. The momentum would be huge; and, while I'm quite confident about winning in Detroit, I don't consider it a dead-bang lock.
I could see maybe starting off slightly vanilla and holding some stuff back but if it becomes necessary, I'd throw the kitchen sink at it. I just feel like beating them in their own place (finally) would give us a better shot against them in the playoffs than anything else.

Yes we have a plan B but I want an outright seizing of the title.
What a blessing the Falcons have been for us by beating the Saints and Niners. Win out and we have a first round bye. When was the last time that has happened?
The Packers have been getting off to early leads. Which is exactly what they need to do against the Vikes.
The Packers have not done a great job of putting games out of reach. Which is what they need to do against the Vikes.
Sitting on a one score lead in the fourth quarter is not likely to get the job done in Minnesota.
Here's hoping:
MVS can catch a pass.
At least one DB can hang onto a gifted INT.
The defensive front plays as well as they did against Chicago.
A. Jones and D. Adams have big games.
Rodgers takes the easy chain-moving option when presented, and avoids bad sacks.
If the Packers can do those things I like their chances.

This is the trial run for the playoffs.
The Pack beat the Bears with a broom no less. I'm a happy man. So as much as I'd like a sweep of the division, I just don't see it.
The Pack seem to have lost consistently in Minneapolis when they were firing on all 8. That's not the case this season. I fear they go into that glass encased monument to excess and lay a great big steaming pile of "unprepared" on National TV as always.
I'm happy with 11-3 since I grunted out a 7-9 prediction in camp. Since this season has blossomed into a very real possibility of a hat and t-shirt, I'll not bemoan the slip-shod games they've gotten away with. What I'm saying is, an NFC North championship is a great benchmark for next season if Gute can fill some highly evident holes.
This is one of the games I earmarked as an "L" ... because, well, there's a history and the Vikes are playing at a pretty high level.
Still, maybe Aaron can get his first win at The Bank. That would be nice but truthfully I just don't see it.

It will be tough to win at Minnesota as the Vikings are the only team undefeated at home this season. It would be awfully sweet to clinch the division in their house though.
If we win our last 2 games we are assured the #2 seed and only get the #1 Seed if some "good things" go our way with both SF and SEA. Staying ahead of the Saints is huge IMO and I don't see the Saints losing either of their last 2 games.
Obviously, the worst thing that could happen to the Packers is 2 straight losses and end up being the 6th seed as a result. However, if you lose the last game of the season to the Lions, do you really have much hope of going very far in the playoffs?
Monday nights game is HUGE for many reasons, not just for playoff positioning, but possibly the psychological boost it could give the Packers of "We can go out and beat anyone on the road".

First round bye, or else we likely see them in the first round of the playoffs. I'd rather beat them now.
The Packers have demonstrated that they have most of the pieces. The defense has looked very good at times, and has gotten better against the run. Special teams have improved.
Offense has been wildly inconsistent. Watching the Saints last night I once again found myself wishing the Packers had kept Jared Cook. Huge mistake to let him go. Imagine the offense right now with Cook instead of Graham and Cobb instead of MVS or Allison.
The organization has made poor decisions on receivers for the last three years. J'mon Moore - total bust. Letting Jordy go a year too early. Letting Cook go. Letting Cobb go. Rodgers has not been in MVP form this year, but part of that absolutely has to be on the lack of quality receivers.
No choice now but to get the most out of guys like Lazard and Kumerow. And continue to scheme for A. Jones.

Minnesota trying to get their first win against a team above .500. They have been good at home but they have played absolutely no one good at home - so there is that.
I have faith in this team. They're gonna break-out Monday Night.
The Vikings offense is potent with or without Cook. Whether that one player would make that much difference is hard to say. They block for all their runners. They have other weapons. We cannot stop all of them. With Cook they get down the field in 5 or 6 plays. Without him it may take them 8 or 10. Now that could be the difference in a close game. Back in their Adrian Peterson days if you took AP out of the lineup it virtually meant defeat for the Vikings. Not now.
I don't know, Cook was responsible for almost 200 yards from the LOS when we first played the Vikings this season. Given that, I would be just fine having him in street clothes Monday night.
I'm really nervous about this one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Rodgers hasn't been that great lately in the evening games. We haven't played very well in MN in the last couple of seasons.
We have not played well there since they were in the college stadium outdoors. Zimmer had everything to do with their turnaround. Their last 3 coaches were not made to be head coaches. Rodgers played well in KC at night. We had only won there twice in almost 50 years. Our defense and special teams will have to do it. Rodgers has to protect the ball and get first downs.
I dont expect the Packers to win but like with the Bears last week I think people are over-hyping how good the Vikings have been lately. Outside the Chargers game they havent been overly impressive in a while.
Chiefs - loss to Matt Moore
Cowboys - won close game
Broncos- barely won
Seahawks - lost
Lions - Won by 10 against a 3rd string undrafted rookie qb
Chargers - Their best game. Forced 7 turnovers including one that turned a halftime deficit into a 9 point lead.
But it isnt like they are playing great. I mean have they really been playing better than the Packers lately
Chiefs - win over Matt Moore
Chargers - huge dud
Panthers - won close game
49ers - huge dud part 2
Giants - won by 18 (and we were disappointed)
Redskins - won close game against bad qb
Bears - won close-ish game
The blowout losses seem to be the difference. I just dont think either team is playing that well. I think the home field is enough for the Vikings to win. Hope I am wrong like I was the first time these teams played

I agree that, in a vacuum, the Vikings on paper should be able to win this game. But I just cannot bring myself to pick Kirk Cousins over Aaron Rodgers in primetime.
Winning out gives the Packers at minimum the #2 seed and potentially the #1. So yes, winning on Monday Night is a step in the right direction towards Miami. A first Round Bye and potentially hosting 1 if not both playoff games, could be just the edge that this team would need to get to the Super Bowl. Imagine the Saints having to come to Green Bay on Jan. 12th and the Seahawks following them into the Frozen Tundra on the 19th!
I know we’re underdogs, inconsistent, our TE group is in shambles, our ILB don’t know what they’re doing, our D can’t stop the Run, our WRs don’t have 5 years experience added together and rounded up.. oh... our QB is on the decline and we’re on the road in MN for the Division title, #1 seed on the line and in a Hostel environment worse than the Alpine Forest just hours before a new Moon (which btw is the perfect time to launch a night attack)
But I like our chances!
12-3
p.s. that’s our record afterward not the score!

Kind of surprised the Vikings are favored by 5.5 pts.
Our biggest difficulty will be covering their WRs. We don't match up too well on the back end.
The Smith Bros should have a big day. This should help take some of the pressure off King. Pack needs Savage to step it up a notch.
I think it will be a slow and low scoring game.
Packers 17 Vikes 13

I think most people expect the Vikings to win. Two good teams going at it. One is at home where they've beaten us for a few years in a row now in a divisional game. I'd say the Vikings have looked the more consistent of the 2 teams, but they aren't without their issues that GB can exploit. It's not going to surprise me either way in this game. GB never makes it easy on themselves. Even when playing well, they like to have a play or 2 that really puts the offense or defense in a hole to claw out of. If they can avoid that, I think GB surprises a lot of people by winning a 2 score game. If they play their usual up and down, it will come down to the end again.
Zimmer's playing a dangerous game. He could play Cook, but if he's knocked out then he has to most likely face the Bears without Cook with a playoff spot on the line depending on how Week 16 shakes out. If he sits Cook and still wins he's a genius. But if he plays Cook, loses Cook, loses the game, and the Rams somehow beat the Niners well....that will be one long article in the newspaper Week 17 before the Bears.
Neither Cook nor Mattison have practiced AT ALL this week so I hope he's getting the reps he needs because he'll need em.
Just imagine, what if Boone gets knocked out in the game? Who's going to be his backup in the game when he wears down?
Prediction: Packers 27, Vikings 21.

Cook is now being listed as "Out" and Mattison as "Questionable". We may be seeing a lot of Boone and Abdullah.

Vikings fans actually prefer a Packer loss to a Viking win. I wish I was joking. Lived here most of my life and they are mostly sh*t talkers. Only reply needed is Gary Anderson.
Hate on this:
0-4 in Superbowls
0-5 in NFCC games since then
0-4 in Superbowls
0-5 in NFCC games since then
The only saving grace I can think of in this matchup is Kirk Cousins is 0-8 in Monday Night games.
May the trend continue.
May the trend continue.
They still have Barr and he did break Rodgers.
The Vikings can shut down our running game cold. We have the worst set of WRs we have had in a decade. AR is not what he used to be.
Vikings can run on our defense even without Cook. We cannot cover TEs and they have two decent ones. JA is overrated and will get smoked like a blunt at Josh Gordon's house. I do not see how the Pack can win, I can only see how the Vikings could lose and that is turnovers.

Packers don't have a good Run D (24th in the NFL), but this year they have won games when facing:
Dalvin Cook
Zeke Elliott
Christian McCaffrey
Saquon Barkley
Josh Jacobs
Phillip Lindsay
Derrius Guice/Adrian Peterson
My takeaway: RBs don't matter so stop pretending they do.

Another week, another huge game. But this time, it's for the division and seeding in the playoffs for the Packers. For the Vikings, it's getting into
the playoffs. Playing in Horn Dome is always a challenge for the Packers. Then again, Cousins is 0-8 on Monday nights, and does have a reputation of shrinking under pressure. But the Vikings pass defense has been bad this year; but their running game has been excellent. Both teams have been up and down during the season, with Cousins suddenly making a comeback from early season oblivion. This is going to be another nail biter, with the probability of turnovers and a last minute FG deciding the game. Call it a toss-up. But as always, expect the Packers to find a way to win the game, as they've done so many times this season.

The Vikings really want to beat the Packers. Bigger question is do the Packers really want to beat the Viking with the same intensity? We will know after Monday.
The Packers are in the hunt for a first-round bye and with help home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. I'd say this game means a lot to them. We will see an insight into how good this team really is. Will the team who played San Fran and Chargers or the team who won 11 games in a variety of ways take the field. The incentives are there...position in the playoffs, no love for the Vikes and too show this team is no fluke. It is a team that is not known for stellar defense, good special teams or a high scoring offense. Yet, the defense bends and doesn't break, produces turnovers and scores when needed. Given the above, I don't know why our head coach isn't high on the list for coach of the year. In any event, this should be a great game and I think both teams will be up for it.
The Vikings will have most likely clinched by Mon. SF beats the Rams and they are in. Really not much to be gained by MN. Packers will handle Det as they have mailed it in for the season. Win or lose Packers will still take the division. Think this game is more important to the Packers whether it makes any difference well probably not.
Cousins struggles under the glare of the prime time lights and it should be a good game. Perfect game for the Packer offense to emerge from its funk.
Pssst.
Here are some dirty little secrets.
The Queens are actually very talented on both sides of the ball. Their worst unit, the OLine, has been playing better and their coaches have been scheming around that weakness quite effectively.
Thus, they are rightly favored by LV in the upcoming game.
Unfortunately, for the team and their fans, the Queens are also NOT going to win the NFC North even if they beat the Pack next Monday night.
This means the Queens will be a WC team and they are highly, highly unlikely to go on the road and win 3 games on their way to the SB (4-4 on the road this season).
And once they inevitably lose their road playoff game the team with the least cap space in the NFL will begin the roster bloodletting - bye bye to Rhodes and to Waynes and to Reiff and possibly to Griffen and to Rudolph, etc.
And say goodbye to Stefanski meaning yet another Offensive Coordinator (possibly Kubiak) will take over next season.
This was the Queens' best shot and not winning the North killed it.
Deliciousness awaits.

I will definitely not hold back my hatred this week. F**k the spermheads now and forever F**k that team and their fans!
Ditto. And f**k John Randle, f**k Chris Hovan and that stupid ass face paint, f**k Randy Moss, f**k that f**kin scrub linebacker that we cut, Ben whatshisname, who became a royal pain in the ass. Most of all, f**k that freaking horn and lame skol chant. Hate everything about that team and it's myopic fanbase.
