Who will have more fans there, the Vikings or the Chargers? Anyway, overall, Vikings fans seem to have mixed feelings heading into Sunday's matchup (although, all are excited it was moved from SNF, right?). But, with that said, it's time to see what the Chargers fans have to say in this week's edition of Enemy Fan Forums.

They're definitely not as sad as the Lions fans were! Many still want to win (and aren't focused on the draft).

Cook is banged up we have to pressure Cousins and this might actually be a good game.
8-8 ruining our draft position. The football gods hate us.
I can only hope for last place football schedule in 2020 and go 14-2 next year.

good coaching and good scouting far outweigh draft position every single time.
Give me a group of guys who never give up over losers who quit. You ever notice the same usual suspects are picking top 10 year after year. The culture of those teams is that its OK to quit when the going gets tough.
Why is it that the winning teams never seem to lack finding impact players at the end of the rounds?

Vikings are 9-4, so this is a very good team. This is not the Jags. This will be a real test of Rivers to see how he plays vs. a good team, especially in crunch time. If he can keep cool under pressure and not make too many mistakes, that's a good sign. Hopefully he doesn't revert back to his "Riverboat Gambler" Rivers style slinging up picks galore.
Oh dont worry he is going to have 4 ints and your wishes will come true. Merry Christmas!!
All I want for Christmas is a good OT
A good OT

And a good OG will help, too!

We will lose by 7 or less like we always do.
Honestly, I think we'll probably do alright on the defensive side. (now watch us give up an incredible amount of yards and 38 points or something)
The Key is going to be protecting Rivers. Vikings can take the run away, unlike the Jags.
Living in the middle of Vikings country... the fans around here really like this team. They've been good too.

Interesting stuff here:
If the Chargers lose another close competitive game who cares. Especially if it helps another team bump the Rams out of a playoff spot. The Rams are playoff contenders this year by a hair. They went out and brought in good players. The Chargers did not and this makes me angry. I want the Rams to not make the playoffs. Although if they do somehow, it will verify my belief that you have to bring in good players at times to help you win. The Chargers rarely do this and continue to struggle with making the playoffs or going deep into them
The Chargers are in a great position to help the Rams make the playoffs. If the Chargers beat the Vikes and the Rams beat the Cowboys, the Rams move ahead of the Vikes for the NFC sixth seed. But do the Spamnoses want to help the Rams open their shared stadium next season coming off three consecutive playoff seasons while the Chargers are a miserable failure? Not saying the Spamnoses would have the team tank purposely at all, I don't think any NFL owner would, no HC would accept such a demand, I don't buy into conspiracy theories about teams deliberately tanking. But it has to be on the Samnoses' minds this week.
This is the only way the Chargers can repay the Rams for the stadium.
They have been missing WR Adan Thielen for a few games and his 6 TDs in 8 games. Kirk Cousins seems spotty on the road. This could be an upset. Okung is back so Rivers doesn't have to thorw the ball in 1 sec like before and he is losing his mind less.
I could see a win here or another heartbreaking loss. Could see them playing just well enough so Telesco or Lynn/ Bradley don't get fired and we go through the same cycle next year.

whether you draft at pick 1, 3, 10, or 25....winning teams can draft good yo great players at any position except QB(because they go high)....... bad organizations will continue to draft so-so QB's just because they desperately need one like CLEV has done so many times and wasted so many high 1st round draft picks)....... great organizations draft a QB ONLY when there is a truly can't miss QB available......and do whatever they need to do to get that player(like broncos did for Elway, and KC did for Mahomes and Giants did for Manning...etc)...... Colts also did it for Luck.... when manning was injured, colts chose NOT to go and trade for a QB like Fitz or McCown ,,,etc who might have won a game or 2 to ruin chances of getting Luck.....
there is no need to worry about our record... even if we lose out, we will not land the number 1 draft position to get Burrow unless we trade for it....... hopefully CIN wins a game or 2 so Giants will hold that spot and a team like Chargers will have a shot at trading for him......but unfortunately PIT, NE, MIA will for sure be interested in paying nearly anything to get him....... and the worst part of not getting him is we will have to compete against him and lose to him for the next 15 years.......any team would be stupid to trade him away, even giants might keep the pick and draft him..... he is that special. He is super talented and is a character guy, who is a great leader and never gives up. Rivers attitude with better skills.......
So bottom line is Chargers can win out and it does not really change our very remote chances of trading for Burrow. The other
QB's in this draft do not warrant gambling a 1st round pick on. The guy from Oregon sucks and will end up like almost all oregon system QB's do...... sucking in NFL.......

The Vikings aren't as good on the road as they are at home. Plus, Cousins doesn't raise his performance when the going gets tough.
Lynn has done pretty well against the NFC. He's 8-3 against the NFC in his career so far. The team has that going for them under him.
For those who are unaware, the Chargers vs Vikings series history always switches winners. There has never been a team who wins 2 straight. Since the Vikings won last time, I think the pattern continues. I like our chances.

This soccer stadium will look so purple ,,, it will make " DOVES CRY "
And we'll hear the Skol chant multiple times as well.
Chargers are winning this. And not because I think they’re a better team, but because in true Chargers fashion, they will give us a glimpse of the “team that coulda been” now that we’re eliminated from playoffs. I’d imagine a 2-3 score win.
I like our chances ... the team we saw Sunday is the team we were all expecting this year. Is it any coincidence this happened when the team got healthy? I think not.
This team always does what they displayed in the Jaguars game. Show their potential, how good they are when it's too late.
The team was boasted as being very talented. When DJ, AP, and others went to IR the team was tested on that. A truly talented team would have won more games without their top players. Going 4-7 to 4-8 proved something opposite of what a lot of people think.

Ya. It's IF a team RETAINS momentum. The Chargers played motivated football against a superior GB team, then tanked. Last week, against the whipping boy of the NFL, the Chargers had a day off fun time. Now come the Vikings and a brick wall. The Vikes are in it to win. The Bolts are in it to see if they can. Big difference.
The Chargers need a HC with a different vibe,IMO.
No actually, the Chargers need to go 2-12 next year before the Spanos' say "uncle". "Pick your own OC and DC...we finally agree to do so." Hehe. "We are through pulling stings."

The Chargers also have zero pressure on them since they are eliminated and can play loose like they have in years past. They are also getting healthy, which makes a big difference while the Vikings are beat up. The Vikings should be favored, but it would not surprise me in the least if we win by double digits - or lose by double digits.
Rivers looked great last Sunday.
Finally had a chance and went thru about 75% of the passing plays and I gotta say, to my eye, they had good protection and maintained depth at times. #17 plays best when the Offensive Line can provide depth....but imo the biggest factor was the Jags had major issues covering some of the shorter routes or when EK or Gordon were used as scat protection - they were open.
I did notice two incomplete passes where I suspect PR got rid of it/throw away because he felt the pressure getting there, but didn't quite get there. I am positive there is some trust issues - although I honestly think there's oline improvement.
Against the Vikings, I doubt some of those completions will be there. They will generate pressure (which Jags did to an extent) but will sit on those short routes. Running game has to get going for the bolts offense to be effective - need the PA.
Defensively, they have their work cut out. Minnesota can run the ball and Cousins doesn't take a lot of chances. Hes pretty efficient. Very low TD to INT ratio.
Patience and field position will be the key. If both teams play well, I see it as a very evenly matched game.
Key match ups :
A) Chargers Pass pro vs Vikings front 4
B) Chargers defending the run. ie keeping Vikings out of 3rd and short.

I will primarily be watching the o line against the purple peter eaters.Every Bolt fan knows by now Rivers will live or die by the o line. The season proved it.
...
Sink their ship......and their season. GO BOLTS !
At 9-4, a game back of Green Bay, you can take a guess which team will show up.
The good news is the horned purple people actually have a losing record on the road. I get the feeling they don't like outdoors in the grass.
Its a shame we have ruined our season. This would have been a goodie and why it was SUPPOSED to be PrimeTime.
(stupid chargers now we get stupid steelers in the stupid flex stupid primetime)

Us Bolt fans are just plain worn out. Great season last year, promise for this year, that was a rocket ride of fun and high emotion.
They dropped an egg this year, and our emotions fell to earth. It hurts.
ALL of them being one score losses is a special kind of evil that tortures you.
Watching all the visitor fans at our home games is an embarrassment.
