The Vikings need to rebound after a massively disappointing loss to the Bears. They will face the also 2-2 Giants in a battle at New York, in the same weekend the Twins face the Yankees in the ALDS. Will the Vikings be able to topple the Giants and stay in the race in the NFC?

* My thoughts *
The Giants offense is a hard one to read now that Eli Manning and Saquon Barkley aren't in the starting lineup. Manning was severely holding the offense back, and they've played much better by default with Daniel Jones in. Jones didn't play all that well in college at Duke, but so far he's shown off his strong arm and quick feet. I'm unsure if the Vikings will be able to rattle him, but with no Saquon Barkley, I would expect the running game to be inefficient for them. In the passing game, they're getting Golden Tate back from a suspension, and Sterling Shepard has held the fort down well. Evan Engram is one of the better receiving TEs in the league, but there's not much depth behind these three.
The Giants' O-line is decent enough. Nate Solder hasn't lived up to his contract and should be challenged by a resurgent Everson Griffen. Will Hernandez and Kevin Zeitler are one of the best guard duos in the NFL (mainly because there are very few). Halapio and Remmers aren't having very good years and should be beatable.
The Giants defense has been terrible this year outside of last week's game with the Deadskins. Their defense is bankrupt of talent at almost every level. The only spot where I'd say they have any real strengths is the D-line. Tomlinson and Lawrence are very good run stuffers... yup, that's about all the compliments I have to give out. This team creates very little pass pressure, as their OLBs just don't get to the QB very much.
The LB group is a joke at this point, as with Ryan Connelly hitting the IR with a torn ACL and Ogletree & Davis out in this game, the Giants will have to field David Mayo and Nate Stupar at ILB. The Vikings should absolutely be able to get advantage of this gaping weakness. Meanwhile, at safety, Jabrill Peppers is an above average player, as he's more of a LB/S hybrid. Antoine Bethea used to be a very good safety, but he's 35 and far past his prime.
Finally, the CB group has been abysmal this season. Janoris Jenkins may have collected 2 interceptions last week, but he's been torched relentlessly so far. 1st round rookie DeAndre Baker has been atrocious to start. Grant Haley was average in 2018 but is grading poorly in 2019.
Prediction: Vikings 27, Giants 18
This is the most conflicted I've been picking a Vikings game thus far... it's a road game, but the Giants have a middling roster. I would have automatically picked the Vikings to win if Eli was starting, but with Daniel Jones, the Giants have an actual chance to win. However, with Saquon Barkley out and the defense in shambles, the Vikings should be able to win this one handily. The pressure is on, boys.
Any thoughts?
