No it hasn't! It's the first time. 65 preseason games, and now 27 regular season games. It's the only time that's happened. Also not once did PI on the field get overturned by review. Now they call it, and it wasn't even egregious? It had nothing to do with the freaking play so why even call it? That's why the booth ref was baffled too. A very dumb one to call, and once again it f*cks the Vikings. I'm still waiting for your example of when the Packers have ever been f*cked by officiating that helped the Vikings. Why can we think of 32 examples of it happening against us and you can't think of any against your Packer team? Bad officiating is one thing, but why does bad officiating always favor the same teams?
Source that claim please. Its week 2 so I guess maybe, but I'd still like a source.
The announcers were baffled when they were observing the wrong part of the play. It happened deeper in the end zone. I'll have to find the replay, i think Funky posted it in the game thread.
Lol bruh everyone was crying the blues for GB week 2 of last year. Get with the program. I didnt feel bad for them and I dont feel bad for us.
I cant, I'm sure you have conjured and rationalized a far higher number then that in your head though. Funny what coping mechanisms can make the mind do.
I think blaming the refs is usually a cop out, and definitely was in this game. The refs mistakes hurt us at times today, but we still had the game in our hands and pissed it away.
With that said, I find this attitude equally annoying. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Some fans like to blame refs for everything, which I agree is usually just trying to shift the blame. But acting like the refs never make mistakes and can’t have an impact on the outcome is equally as foolish. The refs are human beings too and make mistakes.
If the refs HAD called Cook for offensive PI on the field, I would have disagreed but could have at least accepted it as a poor call. However, the league has made it very clear that they are only going to overrule the on the field call when the foul is egregious. They have stuck to that standard all throughout the preseason and early season games..... until this game. Anyone who had a problem with this call has a legitimate gripe
