Yeah it was all the refs...had nothing to do with the Vikings committing stupid, undisciplined penalties.
The refs are biased because Diggs took his helmet off on the field.
The refs are biased because instead of simply touching a guy down, the defender decided to dive helmet to helmet.
The refs are biased because WRs were called for OPI for pushing off at the top of a route...on BOTH teams LOL
The refs are biased because they reviewed a play and saw a guy blocking a defender out of being able to make a play BEFORE the ball was in the air. Picks are illegal and everything is now reviewable on a play.
The refs are biased for picking up a flag when Beebe was hit IN BOUNDS while trying to tip toe for more yards.
The ONLY call that was close to questionable was the OPI on Theilen in the endzone. Both players were grabbing. If Theilen didn't jump on Alexander's back that call goes to the WR. The ball being under thrown gave Alexander the inside position to make the play.
The announcers made a comment about "another call on the Vikings." They then followed that up shortly after with mentioning the Vikings playing undisciplined resulting in stupid penalties. The officiating wasn't horrible. The Vikings were. I find it hilarious all the comments I see calling the Saints whiners for getting screwed yet you guys whine about every single call as if the Vikings can do no wrong.
The offensive PI on Thielen wasn’t even debatable, that was just plainly not a penalty, you could even argue Alexander deserved a penalty for pushing off on Thielen to begin with, but I think that would have been ticky tack. The PI against Diggs was literally less of a push off than Alexander’s and got called.
As for the PI call on the review, you’re just blatantly wrong. If they were calling the “PI” on the initial contact between Cook and the original defender, it would be even more egregious of an error. As you said, the contact came before the ball was in the air, which cannot be PI, it would be illegal contact, and that would NOT have been reviewable. The refs overturned it based on the “contact” with the second defender, and considering PI needs to be egregious to be overturned, it was a terrible call.
The game was called very lopsided until the 4th quarter, when they started calling GB. I’m not here to blame the refs, the Vikings outplayed the packers, and the refs didn’t help them, but ultimately the Vikings QB gave the game away with awful mistakes
Also calling out anyone for hypocrisy about penalties and posting a “cry me a River” video after spending all week crying a river over a play that was by definition not a penalty from 2 years ago is not a good look. Glass houses my friend
Except I never cried about anything. I merely pointed out the blatantly late, intentionally dirty hit and offered proof as to why it was just that and should be called every single time no matter who the QB is. I also offered a few different ways the end of the play could have been handled. That's a far cry from blaming the refs for every time the Vikings made a stupid mistake or claiming the refs are simply out to make sure they lose. "Far cry" - see what I did there?
Cook set a pick on 2 different defenders which opened up Diggs. Picks are illegal. That's why the play was overturned. And that came from the booth review and NY, not the refs on the field. Perhaps you guys should spend more time learning the rule book so you don't look like jacka$$es blaming the refs all the time. No one is out to get your team. The Vikings lost because of sloppy, undisciplined play and Kirk Cousins doing what he does best. Your defense stepped up nicely after the initial onslaught but your team got outplayed and out coached. Enjoy being tied with Bears for last place. Even the Lions have a better record LOL.
Thanks for not running from the 8. I suppose that was the ref's fault too right?
