Week 2 - Vikings @ Packers Discussion

That's what I'm mad about. I would understand if there were something called on the field, but there wasn't. The ref went looking for something to take it away. Whatever Cook did, did it even affect the play? It was a pretty quick throw. Tired of bad officiating always screwing us more than it helps us.

I wouldnt pat yourself on the back too much for this win. The Vikes wearnt ready to start this game from the start, thats true. But once Zimmer made his adjustments, wearnt you guys scoreless? Was Erin Rogers held to 0 points in almost 3 quarters? And you are proud of that? And if you dont think the refs and their calls agaisnt the Vikings wearnt just a little bit biased, its because you refuse to look. Your CB PUSHED a receiver as the ball was coming and didnt get called for it. The OPI call on Cook was r*******, and could have been called on the Fudgepackers  almost on every passing play. Along with the entire NFL. But the Refs today decided to call it, and take points away from the Vikes. I couldnt go on but you are not worth any more effort.

And the Bears win. With a FG, something the Vikes could never do. What a sh*t day.

The offensive PI on Thielen wasn’t even debatable, that was just plainly not a penalty, you could even argue Alexander deserved a penalty for pushing off on Thielen to begin with, but I think that would have been ticky tack. The PI against Diggs was literally less of a push off than Alexander’s and got called.

As for the PI call on the review, you’re just blatantly wrong. If they were calling the “PI” on the initial contact between Cook and the original defender, it would be even more egregious of an error. As you said, the contact came before the ball was in the air, which cannot be PI, it would be illegal contact, and that would NOT have been reviewable. The refs overturned it based on the “contact” with the second defender, and considering PI needs to be egregious to be overturned, it was a terrible call.

The game was called very lopsided until the 4th quarter, when they started calling GB. I’m not here to blame the refs, the Vikings outplayed the packers, and the refs didn’t help them, but ultimately the Vikings QB gave the game away with awful mistakes


Also calling out anyone for hypocrisy about penalties and posting a “cry me a River” video after spending all week crying a river over a play that was by definition not a penalty from 2 years ago is not a good look. Glass houses my friend

Watched the Diggs penalty 4 times now. Still, don't see the call. He made a good cut, and Alexander had a hold of Diggs jersey sleeve just before the cut.
