OK... one last time during the regular season, and if we lose, this is the last one.

Remember when we could talk about resting our starters? Yeah, I miss that.
Good point, they racked up losses to the Dolphins and the Giants.
Somebody gets it.
There's probably more to this one. I could see Nagy keeping the starters in and really just using it to scheme for next week. Zimmer has to show his cards.
News flash: Misery is a requirement for Vikings fan. They create plenty of it, and we're never really put out of it.
Probably actually. This year it seems to be how those things work.
Which brings up the question... who was the bigger bust, White or Treadwell?
We need some of that culture change too.
concur
You play the games to win them. It seems a simple concept to me. We have a team with a very stout defense and a green, developing QB.
Trubisky has been developing nicely but I want to see if he has what it takes in this level of competition. I expect that you guys will bring it on Sunday an I expect that we will do the same.
God, I love this kind of football!!
He was responding to me... I have to admit that those guys over at chitownbears are a pretty good bunch.
In all, a pretty confident group... though given their record, they should be. Not a lot of stupidity.

What they are saying:
Feels gross to say, but Bears lose this one thanks to starters being pulled prior to kickoff. Prepare for the Daniel/Mizzell/Braunecker show.
Bears 14
Vikings 24

This is a weird one. IMO, the only reason the bears will keep their starters in is if the rams are loosing or the game is close. Securing a first round bye could be important to them. Otherwise, I don’t see Nagy showing his cards. The possibility of playing the Vikings two weeks in a row, seems like a scheduling faux pas. I’m kinda hoping it’s Philly.
you say that now...
I have no feel for this game because, as mentioned above, I have no idea how Nagy will play this out.
Truly, there is nothing stupider (IMO) than playing your starters in a game that means nothing to you but the world to your opponent. Yes, the sting of Green Bay from 2010 still lingers, but this is a bit of a different animal. On the other hand, Trubisky and this offense need as many reps as they can get -- BUT -- if there is a chance you play the same opponent 7 days later in a playoff game, the last thing you should do is show your cards.
Maybe Nagy meets in the middle... plans to play the starters in the first half regardless, but utilizes a very bland/vanilla attack. At halftime, if he sees that the Rams are spanking the 49ers, he will pull his starters (but MAN would he have egg on his face if we lose and the 49ers mount a comeback).
This boils down more to how our coaching staff wants to approach the game than it does talent vs. talent (at least in my football world). Therefore it's a coin flip for me:
Bears - 17
Vikings - 24

I guess the real question is do WE want them to secure a first round bye? This team looked totally different coming off a bye week and their mini bye week.
Good point, they racked up losses to the Dolphins and the Giants.
Vikings are masters of self destruction. all we have to do is take the field, and the vikes will take care of the rest.
Bears 21
Vikes 16

I think we lose this one because we aren't a good road team, key players will be rested for at least part of the game and the Vikings will be playing for their lives.
I want to be massively wrong and if I am I will be happy.
Vikings 20
Bears 14

I think they would like nothing more to smush a division rival's chances at the playoffs. The D has been playing lights out lately not allowing more than 1 TD in the last 3 games, that trend continues.
Bears 20- Barneys 13
Bring on the Iggles!

Look. We've made the playoffs. I don't think that Nagy wants to show his cards for the playoffs, and will put formations on tape Week 17, that the Vikings have to account for in the first round. I think that Nagy rests some players with nicks and nagging injuries. I believe that the Bears lose this one.

This is as close to a post season road environment that the Bears can play in. It would be nice for the offense to show up big for the first time in like 5 weeks and put the Vikings out of their misery.
Bears win 31-20

Bears win in and stomp out the Vikings hopes for any NFC North dreams for foreseeable future.
Cousins throws three picks.
Trubisky throws 3 Tds rushes for 1.
IMU cries in his basement.

Can't score against San Fran, but they will score against the Vikes? The Vikes blow them out.
Well, I also think that mediocre teams that need a win rarely get one so:
Bears 17
Vikings 14
Bears 17
Vikings 14
When you look at the Vikings personnel, they should be a much more dangerous team. They have good to great players at every level of the defense. They have an elite receiving group. They should have an above average running group. Even Cousins isn't the horrible player he is popularly portrayed to be. The OL is a problem, but they simply should have enough talent to overcome those difficulties.
They have elite groups that can certainly come to life when it gets down to a single game situation. I think they killed off this week.
What is the Eagles elite group that is going to win the game for them? All they really have is the mystique of being the reigning champion.
Give me the Eagles at home every time.

Lets’s get down to brass tacks here. With Robinson’s gimp status, is this going to be the week of Kevin White???
I hope Nagy tries to win the game. I do not think there is a way to lose a game and it has an impact on the team anything other than in a negative way.
IMO this is part of the "culture change" that we need to see for the Bears long term. That we are always doing our dead best to win each and every game.

Erin Andrews, okay, but Buck and Aikman are big time? yeeesh.
