Big matchup on Sunday. It's not often we know - or even care to know - what the Pats fans are saying. But let's dive in and see what they think of us!

What they're saying:
You know I'm hoping for? Crappy weather at Gillette against the dome-team Vikings. They forfeited their late season advantage by becoming a climate controlled team. Let's kick their a$$ in the cold and the snow in December!
Minnesota is extremely beatable.
Go NE!
Go NE!
Should be a tough game with the Wrs they got. If DCook is healthy it’s also going to help them.
Like the Pats chances at home though.

Defense has shown they can get carved up. Brady usually has his way against Mike Zimmer defenses.
Kirk Cousins has been disappointing.
I see a Pats victory.

Tough opponent, glad it is at home. We will need to really turn it on now that our layup is overwith, next 3 games will take our A effort, before closing with a couple easy ones at home.
Thielen and Diggs are very good WR's . D will have their hands full with those guys. Pats can get it done but we can't let them get separation or be wide open, they are fast and threaten to take it the distance every time.
Cousins isn't very mobile so we should be able to man up in the secondary and get creative with our pressures.
Coming into tonight, Cousins was having a better year than Brady. While I agree that some overrate him, he’s a solid top 10 QB in this league and probably a better or similar thrower than Brady. Obviously, throwing isn’t all that goes into being a QB and Brady crushes Cousins on those attributes. But Cousins came into today with a better completion percentage and fewer INT per pass - two of the most important stats for a QB.
Again, Brady is clearly a better overall QB but calling Cousins “the most overrated” seems like a huge stretch considering that he’s actually throwing pretty well this year. I don’t think anyone makes him out to be a top 5 guy.

Brady, Brees, Ben, Luck, Wilson, Rodgers, Mahomes, Rivers, Watson, Goff, Ryan, Newton, Wentz. Maybe also Trubitsky, Mayfield, and Stafford.
All QB's I'd rather have over Cousins. Top 10? He's barely top 20.

Thielen is a monster. We need to control him, can't take him away altogether but we need to control the damage he can do.
I’m interested in the WR matchups. I think Gilmore will handle Thielen as well as he can. Sure it’ll be competitive.
I’m more concerned about Diggs. I don’t think we have anyone to match up with him.

It's not all Stats but many QB's are statistically better than the 41 year old Brady.:) Believe it or not Brady will not make the Pro Bowl this year in the AFC. Cousins is the kind of QB that will give this Defense fits. Cousins plays it safe or protects the football and he has some good WR's on the outsides. The Patriots and especially Tom Brady will have to be sharp on Offense. I see a shootout all the way. Even at home this won't be a gimme for the Pats. Vikes Offense is a few notches below the Elites but they are good. I would take the over in this one.
Cousins is the Vikes 3rd leading rusher. Of course, the Vikes run the ball less than any other team in the league.
"Cousins isn't an elite QB."
"Cousins isn't as good as (insert your list here)."
Doesn't matter.
Cousins has been more consistently effective than Bortles, Tannehill, Osweiler, (probably) Stafford, Mariota, McCown, Darnold and whatever future Uber driver the Bills will have under center this week. AND, Cousins has a top-3 defense backing him up. That's all that matters to me at the moment.

I'm not sure that this is a matchup game. Possibly more like constantly shifting coverages combined with an all-out focus on pressuring Cousins. Make Cousins have to look for an open receiver, and don't give him enough time to do it.
Really happy Rex Burkhead is back next week that should bolster our RB position and make it strong again.
The Vikings are a good team. The Patriots need to bring their best to this one. Cutting down on the penalties is a must - they bailed out the Jets repeatedly in the first half. They are up-and-down with losses following good wins. I hope that trend continues.
The Vikes won but Rodgers made sure there was no OT or 4th quarter comeback by missing wide open receivers down the stretch. I think he has his 4QC record vs winning teams at a startling 1-48. Corporal Comeback lives on.
You really think this guy is worth $27 million a year? Like I said, overrated.
Current forecast, 40's with showers and 10 MPH wind.

Interesting that the best 3rd down defenses are all AFC teams except MIN & CHI.
I think this is one of those season-defining games. This and the Steelers game are going to determine our destiny as far as the playoffs (barring a meltdown in any of the other games).
Vikings are better than their record. They might havce a crappy OL and Cousins makes more than his share of boneheaded mistakes, but his weapons are legit.

a.) QB's the Pats D have faced all season: Watson (coming off an ACL and not 100%), Bortles (threw 4 TD's), Stafford (played OK), Osweiller, Luck (coming off a shoulder injury with a weak OL...at the time), Mahomes (won by 3), Trubisky ( in year 2), Anderson (A QB starting after 2 weeks of being with the team), Rodgers (on a gimpy leg), Mariota, and McNown (39 year old back up). Of the above QB's...I'd rank Cousins about #5 behind Mahomes, Luck, Rodgers, and Watson.
b.) The Vikes WR duo is downright dangerous with Thielen/Diggs...but don't sleep on Treadwell who can make plays here and there...Rudolph as well. I think this will be the best collection of pass catchers since the K.C. game (with Hill, Kelce, and Watkins).
c.) Lativus Murray is a solid if not spectacular RB type... Dalvin Cook is the game breaker type. Cook has been getting more and more reps in recent weeks. I think we see a healthy dose of Cook this week.
d.) The Vikes D is solid....but there aren't really any good defenses anymore in the NFL these days given all the rules favoring offenses. We can do some damage, but this game will need to be won by our D limiting the Vikes to under 24ppg, IMO.

Cousins played great the last time he was here. His receivers dropped some crucial easy balls. These guys now won't. He has been great with the big play this season. Pats can't play around with this game.
