If the Vikings can run the ball effectively and control the clock this game won't go well. That's really my main concern here. My understanding is that the Vikings offensive line is not very good. We can pressure Cousins and we will need to because he's having a really good year. If we can pressure and hurry Cousins enough, I just don't think their run game is enough to beat us unless our defense just totally pulls a MIA and sh*ts the bed.
The Bears can score on their defense. Nagy creates mismatches and WR separation via playcalling. Miller is starting to blossom. AR15 is hot. Gabriel is due for a big game.
Its a home game where Biscuit has been an animal this year. That's worth 10 points on its own and the Bears can score at will.

Its a game that ultimately doesn't decide much of anything other than how much respect they may command nationally. That is it.
This game won’t seal anything one way or another.
But the next two games collectively might.
If the Bears beat the Vikings and Lions over the next 7 days, they’ll be 8-3. They won’t miss the playoffs.
If they lose both games, they’ll be 6-5 and looking at an uphill climb with no margin for error and the likelihood of missing the playoffs.
If they split those games, they essentially stay on their current pace, which is overall good.
This next week is the biggest for the Bears in years.

Parkey nails a 50 yard game winner. It hits off the post but GOES IN.

This is a confusing game. If it was in Minnesota I would likely favor the Vikings, but with the Bears playing hot at home and the Vikings coming off of a bye, I'll give the Bears one.

I've been pessimistic about this team because I've been wanting them to prove to me who they are. Early on in the season (GB, MIA) I thought they didn't know how to win/close out games. With our backs against the wall we win 3 straight in a row and are sitting in first place of the NFC North through week 10. Think about that.
Now we get a game flexed to SNF, the team is excited about it because it means the world will be watching. Does anyone think they're going to sh*t the bed? I don't. Bears come out and make a statement.

The Vikings are a pretty similar team to the Bears in a lot of ways. This is gonna be a very interesting game because we'll see head to head who's stars are burning brighter.
I think the Bears have 1 or 2 more weapons on offense, and I like our LBs to help stop Cook. Throw in homefield and I'm picking the Bears.

The bears are riding high on confidence, the team is clicking on all cylinders and are winning in dominant fashion. This game will tell me who the bears really are. Great fighters get better when they get rocked, the Vikings will no doubt come out swinging, how the bears respond to that will tell us if theyre ready to make a playoff push. I feel the bears will control this game and come out on top.

This isn't going to be an easy win by any means.
I think the Vikings defense is pretty stout so we'll have a tough time moving the ball - especially with our running game not really producing all that much. I think we break through at some point and our defense will hold things down for the most part. Parkey has a bounce back game.

The Vikings look really good.... except for their o-line. Mack & Company are fixin' to feast. Nagy's got some sh*t up his sleeve for our offense and Zimmer doesn't have a clue what he's about to face. It will be the statement game we've been waiting for all season. We can finally sit at the top of the North and feel like we belong here.

Both teams bring the pass rush that will keep the other from passing deep, so it looks like it'll be a dink and dunk fest. The team that can run the ball and not turn it over will win.

The Vikings are good, but their one fatal flaw is their OL. It's not great. Also Dalvin Cook is a Hamstring injury waiting to happen. The Vikings are good. Probably the best team we have faced this year. But I will stand by the fact that the Bears have led in EVERY game they've played this year, just somehow finding ways to lose a few of them. In the last three weeks, they have demolished mediocre teams. Much different than the Bears of old. This team is gaining confidence every week.
Bears defense will be too much for the Vikings, and Cousins will have a rough night. The secondary will limit their two primary weapons in Thielen and Diggs. Jackson has a pick. We win the TO battle +2, and the Vikings secondary has no answer for Cohen and Miller.
It's not as close as the final score would suggest.

Reading through some of the Vikings forums, they don't sound too excited about this game. A lot of what I read was that Cousins was in for a beating. I also didn't know that Diggs was injured, but will try and come back for the Bears game. Apparently he is nursing a rib injury. One good shot from Roquan Smith should solve that. If Diggs doesn't play, it could be a long night for the Vikings.
This should be one hellava game. It's been YEARS since I've been this excited about a Bears game. And I LOVE Bears games. I know I'm going to be yelling and throwing things more than usual this Sunday night.
Both teams can score. Both teams can play good defense. Both teams have offenses that don't turn the ball over. Both teams have defenses that can generate turnovers. Bears are at home. Vikings are a bit more experienced. What a matchup!
My score predictions have been too much of the under lately, so I'm going to go a bit higher than my mind wants to go with these defenses. And yes, I'm going to be THAT guy and go with the experience edge.

Man, I wish I was as confident as alot of you.
Zimmer will be aggressive and blitz Mitch. Their 1 weakspot is the LB core in coverage. Hopefully Burton and Cohen can take advantage. 20, 23 and 37 will have their hands full with those receivers. Cousins is pretty good under pressure, but does fumble from time to time.
I think we drop a close one.

I expect this to be a high scoring game regardless on how good either D is. It's going to come down to who makes the least mistakes IMO. If our kicker tries out for the goal post contest again it might cost us this one.

Yall crazy thinking the bears just waltz in and win big. Vikings off a bye will be hot. Zimmer will bring the heat and the first half won’t go well for Mitch and co..until Nagy can get them in the half and make adjustments.

Bears suck in prime time, but I think this game could be the one we're all hoping for. Bears, as usual lead at half. Bears, as usual in important games, blow the lead in the 2nd half. Then, what we all want to see... Trubisky leads a last minute drive for the winning TD (and kick the point). Bears 24 Vikings 23.
This is truly a pick em. Prior to start of season I picked the Queens. I am going to back off that and go Bears.
I think it will be extremely close and both Ds will rule the day. I am going:
Bears -20
Queens - 17

Dalvin Cook and Thielen are dangerous weapons, Diggs, Murray, and Rudolph compliment it well and will do some damage no matter how well we play. Cousins is both decent under fire, but gives up TOs in batches. If our run stopping can keep the edge and force their RBs inside, and the DBs can hold coverage long enough to let our pass rush get to Cousins, we can keep them under check.
On O their pass rush will be something I hope Nagy is scheming for directly-Trubisky needs a close hot read on every passing play. If our run blocking doesn't take a step forward, it will be a tough day. If Trubisky can get ground with his feet, hit the hot reads on blitzes, and get some big plays in space from Cohen and Gabriel then their D is going to lose effectiveness by having to slow down the rush and cover more field, then the rest of the game will open up. Miller I think shows his value in this one as his ability to get separation from seemingly anyone makes for some crucial 1st downs and big plays. A-Rob will have some catches, but will face coverage with help. Shaheen (if activated) and Burton could be big factors.
Score? I see this going as either a low score game they win or a higher one we win.

This game is going to boil down to how well our OL can block Minnesota's front four. If we can shut them down and force them to blitz to generate pressure, I think Mitch can have a field day. If they can get home with 4 and drop 7 into coverage, we might be in for a long day.
Defensively, shut down their run game and f*cking tackle. If our corners play off they're going to try to test our discipline with quick hitters and screens (think Vikings). If we can demonstrate that doesn't work and still play up on their WRs, it's going to force Cousins to hold the ball a little bit longer while Thielen/Diggs/Rudolph try to get open. That's where our front four needs to get home.

This is a tough one for me. I think this is the game where the Bears don't lead the game and actually have to come back a little bit.

I can’t believe how much media attention Parkey is getting for practicing at soldier field. It’s 100% laughable, he should have been doing this all along, and to give the excuse of traffic? Is this real life? I’m hoping this game doesn’t come down to a FG. I do hope he gets an opportunity to kick a few to get his confidence back. The way the team had his back speaks volumes to players buying in to what Nagy is preaching.
I’m pumped for this game!
I’m pumped for this game!
I think way more was made of the Parkey thing by fans than needed to be. It was a fluke, just like when Mason Crosby missed 5 for GB some weeks back. Nagy's going to put his arm around that guy and tell him he's going to win a game for us, maybe even this week. Parkey will be alright.
If my job was to kick field goals and half my games are at Soldier Field, you better believe every time the weather changes I would be out there figuring out the winds. sh*t, I'd rent a house boat and live next door.
The thing I do not like about Parkey is his kicks drift both ways. 90% of the time they drift to the right (which is bad since a fade loses distance), but 1 out of 10 kicks goes to the left (draw). Kicking is like driving a golf ball, not too many people hit it dead straight, everyone has a slight draw or fade. When you know what you consistently do, you can play it! But when you spray off to either direction, it makes it hard to account for. Robbie Gould played a slight draw, that works way better than a fade in the wind.
God if we are relying on Parkey to make a game winner I'm scared. Think Trubisky shows out in Primetime. 31-17 Bears.
Bears make a statement and win by 2 scores.
The Bears have the better secondary, linebackers, RB’s, and OL. MIN’s DL is better as a whole. Trubisky and Cousins are playing equal. The Vikings’ two top receivers are better but the Bears, imo, are deeper there.
Bears 27-23

Incredibly important game. Whoever wins this one has the NFC North by the neck, and barring injury, I'd expect them to make the playoffs.
This seems like a toss-up to me, and I'm kind of surprised the Bears are getting the edge in Vegas.
Can't make a prediction as they're a very good match if you line up all the position groups.

I think we see the difference between a team that is ascending [Bears] and one that has more experience at the top [Vikings]. I think the Bears are a little too inconsistent and will make a few too many mistakes to win this.
For the Bears to win Mack or Trubisky need to go off and have a great game.

The pressure is on Cousins. He was signed to win a superbowl for the Vikings. So far that's not looking very likely. Mitch and the Bears are essentially playing with house money at this point as they both have far exceeded everyone's expectations. I think the pressure is too much for Cousins causing him to make a mistake or two that the Bears capitalize on. Mitch has more of an average type game (250 yds 2 TD's) but it's enough to earn the win.

The Bears D seem's to have the run game covered. To date the biggest weakness that's been exploited has been the quick/short passing game; think 2nd half Packers (or don't think 2nd half Packers, for your sanity) Miami and NE. I feel like Smith has improved through the season which helps on the middle of the field stuff, and Fangio has been more willing to blitz and do funny stuff to confuse the oppsing O. How else can you defend against this type of passing attack? Big concern for me in that regard is that MIN will use the short game to suck the Bears in and then have some deep plays to take advantage.
Offensively I'm excited to see what Nagy dials up! Feel like this is another game that if the Bears can score early on, they can control. Once the Bears O has a lead I think they're hard to defend against as they are more unpredictable than most. Big question as usual is what they do with the run game, and how important that will actually be? Perhaps earlier in the season, the Vikings could have played zone to puzzle Trubisky, but I think he's better at adapting now so it may be tough to contain the passing attack.
This should be a good one!
