What they're saying...
This will be a game the Lions win before losing their next three or something.
The lions and vikes are the same team. Both disapointing with above average QB's. Should be at least competitive and keep the fan base glued to the television set.
Lions sold the season and the players know it. This players aren't coming out to play this week. 45-17 Vikings. 10 of the 17 Lions points come in garbage time.
I realize that Golden Tate is/was not the difference between this team being a legitimate contender or not (kinda laughable to put this team and legitimate contender in the same sentence now that I sit here and think about it), but it does certainly have the feel of a team that is waving the white flag on the season so to speak.
Was the Tate trade a reasonable chess move for the future...maybe. Probably. But as far as this season goes, he was a very key piece for the offense. Obviously. I think he was one of the team's veteran leaders, too. Quite simply the offense is/was clearly better with him on the field. Dealing him, as you sit one game out of the division lead, is about as clear of an admission that there is that you just aren't good enough (which hey, from what we saw this past weekend, is true) this year.
I honestly expect the Lions to fold on the season like a house of cards from here on out. Starting with a probable ass whipping on Sunday.

Diggs and Thielen are gonna have career days.
The Lions have a stark advantage there with their injuries and honestly, we were better before the injuries hit them.
Defensively it isn't even close. They are heads and shoulders better. I thought we may have a slight advantage in the secondary, but recent developments have proved that to be incorrect. They will probably be without their top CB but I expect they will be keying on Kerryon, Marvin and Golladay. So, it will need to be a lot of underneath stuff and patience.
The only way we win this is if we get turnovers and get to Cousins early and often. If we turn the ball over it may get ugly.
Remember, they are yet to beat us in that new building and Tate was a huge part of why. I wish the trade deadline was a week later. But, it is what it is.
The Lions lose if they aren't great Sunday.

Any given Sunday. Look what Purdue did to OSU (yeah I know that was a Saturday).
Purdue beating Ohio State isn’t much of a rarity nowadays... as opposed to Michigan doing it.
For the NFL, Buffalo won @ Minnesota as a 17 point dog a month ago. Any given Sunday.

Aren't the Vikings beat up right now and Lions are pretty healthy? Lions will probably **** up and win this.
Lions are the masters of the mediocre draft spot. The Tate move was actually perfect. Not only does this help to have them just miss the playoffs and draft 20th, but they trade Tate to the Eagles for one of the last picks in the 3rd round. Double win!!!
As a secondary note Adam Thielen has a chance to break the Calvin Johnson consecutive 100 yrd games...
Ive been playing Thielen weekly in my DraftKings & FanDuel lineups. I hate playing anyone on or against the Lions, but man, you have to think they make him a focal point in order to break the record. Especially against Calvin's team.
I wouldn't put it past us to win this game. We are a jeckyl and hyde team
sadly, I lean towards us losing - BUT! prove me wrong dang it!!!
The weird thing to think about is where are they better than us? There WRs against our CBs is a mismatch, but other than that we matchup pretty well. I think this game favors us more than the Seahawks.
We have to get pressure and avoid pressure. If we can get to cousins and in turn create a turnover or two, we can pull this thing out.
Hard to see them lose 3 at home but again, they are NOT the team people think they are.

I think they had a certain magic last year. They played at their max level, and because of that, got a lot of good bounces as well.
I think we're seeing a more accurate result based on their team talent this year. They are good, but not dominant. I see this as a coin flip type game on paper. Both teams really need the win. Which lions team will we see? The dominant one, or the head scratchers?

I think we lose in a close game. Leaving us disappointed yet hopeful.
Slay has been off lately i have no faith that he and tabor can stop thielen and diggs.

The Vikings were an unbelieveably injury free (sans Cook) last year. Now they are consistently injured and you will see the difference. I think the Lions need to use the "what are the Lions going to do without Golden" angle to run their offense. Keep them guessing, this might be like when a rookie gets called up and the opposition has no film on them and that rookie explodes!
Lions win by 10,000!!!! (millimeters on total offense).

I'm hoping for 20 touches for KJ. When we don't utilize him consistently, we seem to lose.
Pressuring Cousins is key. I think our run D is better this week, with some more practices to get Snacks and the supporting cast more comfortable.
Ansah blah blah blah. But whoever gets snaps has to get after the QB to prevent Thielen and Diggs from eating us alive. Hopefully Slay can shut down one of them.

We'll probably win because we're supposed to lose...and we'll lose to all the crap teams we play.
We have a game???
I thought we forfeited the season and are right into the draft prep???
But if we are going to still play out the season then yea...talking about the Minny game is good.
It will be a tough game. Division games on the road always are. Lately we have had more success than I expect in Minny so maybe we pull out a win. Like MTLion87 said...Jeckyl and Hyde this season. I never know what to expect. When I think we should own a game we get dominated. When I think we are going to be in trouble we dominate.
At this point I have no idea what to expect
