I see Eric Bieniemy drawing some interest too. That will be another mistake. 1 year as OC for a team where he wasn't actually the OC. Andy Reid was calling the shots there. Not to mention that offense was more about Mahomes and those weapons than anyone. Giving Bieniemy credit for that would be like giving any of Peyton Manning's OC's credit for anything. What's his other claim to fame? Adrian Peterson's RB coach lol? Lets like giving McCarthy credit for how good Rodgers is. *whistle*

I guess I don't envy GM's right now. Not many hot young coordinators. A lot of them seem to be on their 1st year. I haven't seen Don Martindales name being floated around. Nobody wants a defensive minded coach? I guess Fangio is getting some attention.

I also wonder if any of these fired HC's will go back to coordinating.

If Belicheck was our coach we'd have 2 or 3 rings by now.

Need to find an Offensive coordinator who can improve this team if they are not letting Zimmer go, they need to find someone who can make the talent work and fix the O line. Not sure I agree with this direction, but Zimmer's and Spielman's seats should be plenty hot next year.

By the way, the Bears have a brand new Head Coach and a brand new Offensive Coordinator, had multiple QBs this year and still won the division and beat our overrated defense twice (scoring 24 and 25 points...some "defense") with its years of continuity at many key player positions, Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator.

So much for the continuity theory. The fact is, our coaching is mediocre. When you settle for mediocrity you're going to get more mediocrity. The Vikings will not win more than 1 playoff game next year, if they even make the playoffs. Unless some startling changes are made. Its going to be the same old shitshow.

Ponder? Everyone said he was bad. There was continuity with Ponder under Zimmer? Did I miss that?
Rookie Teddy to second-year Teddy? Made the playoffs, and should have beaten the defending SB champs.
Norv? Everyone said he was bad, especially you ... but for this argument, you're good with him? Okay, bye...

If Belichick was our coach we'd have 2 or 3 rings by now?! LOL How many Super Bowls has he won without the GOAT? What QBs would he have won a Super Bowl with? Teddy and Keenum? Sustained success has a LOT to do with continuity, and it's no wonder why New England is so successful ... same great coach and same great QB for 20 effing years.

....but let's keep switching our everything and hope for the best. *thumb_up*

Look around the league. Many of the most successful teams have continuity at HC and/or QB. We have a really good coach, and we were told we'd figure out the QB thing. Let's give it another year or two before we panic.

We clearly don't have continuity at OC or QB, but we MIGHT heading into next season. We do have continuity at HC, who has the 5th highest winning percentage of active coaches DESPITE the lack of continuity, and you can't appreciate that? You're literally advocating getting rid of our Top 5 head coach. GTFO with that nonsense...

Lets see...Payton, Reid, Belichek Carrol, Harbaugh... arent those all guys who coached their teams to the Super Bowl, often multiple times, and except for Reid, to at least one or more SB wins?

Those are the guys you want continuity with. Proven winners. Well except Andy Reid, who is a consistent playoff choker. But at least he gets there, more often than not. In his first 5 years as HC he only won fewer than 11 games once, his first year. In his first 5 years Zimmer has only won more than 8 games twice. And most of his wins are against bad teams. His greatest consistency is he can't beat the good teams or win the big games.
