Yay! The TNF matchup we've all been waiting for! Who doesn't love TNF? /sarcasm
Well, let's see how much the Rams fans think they are going to crush us by.

What they're saying...
The Bills pressured Cousins all day and I don’t see why the Rams’ D can’t do as well.
I do think Minny will be pissed after the Bills loss but that’s because they are NFL players and have pride. You NEVER take an opponent lightly in the NFL. The Hags are next but since they are 1-2 I can’t see the Rams looking past the Vikes.
My biggest concern besides the short week is the field condition, it looked chopped up Sunday.

The Rams *should* win this game.
Should.
Should.
This has the makings of a real shoot-out.
Vikings have their share of injuries and including their mentally unstable Pro Bowl DE.
He is actually injured and was also out last week and the Bills moved the ball on their D pretty efficiently in the first half and built the big lead.
What got me was how the Vikings could do nothing offensively vs the Bills D for most of the game.
Sure we have some key guys out however I think we have enough depth to get by and I think Minnesota is in big trouble and the Bills loss was just the beginning. The front 7 shows up and the Offense just keeps on cruising along and I think we win easily.
Rams 38 Vikings 17

Kirk Cousins is the most pressured QB in NFL (62 pressures)
Difference is that the Bills have really good outside pass rush and they got home with four.
Who knows?
I’ve never been this nervous about such a good team before.

You know I wasn't nervous but now that Talib and Peters will be out I'm kinds nervous because their WR's aren't slouches and Cousins can deliver that ball pretty accurately. If they weren't out I wouldn't feel nervous at all. This could determine #1 seed in the playoffs! FFS!
If we're down Talib and Peters, they can beat us. They got caught looking forward to our game by the Bills, and that's not a good thing for us.
My thoughts exatly when I heard how bad the Bills were whooping that ass. They are going to be ready for us and held out Cooks and Griffin to be at their best for us. I have a feeling McVay will be the same way. He seemed last year after that loss he was looking forward to the next match up with these guys.
Im not going to cry over a loss to the Vikings. They are the toughest game on our schedule in my book.
Down Talib and Peters and legatron and any firepower at punt returner.
I would be happy if we just found a way to squeak in a win.
This needs to be a game where Donald takes over.
Then its Seattle, Denver and SF.
we should be 6-1 or 7-0 by the GB game.

I dreaded this game originally before the season, not so much anymore; even with two starting cornerbacks out. Vikings have the advantage, but Philip rivers is a better quarterback than Cousins.
I won't be mad if we lose this game given our situation. Lol but I think you guys might be surprised by the Vikings this year. I've watched all three of their games. That tie was no accident and neither was their loss.
You'll see what I mean on Thursday, and you can quote me on that.

The NFC North is a real mystery after this week 3 :
Packers lost to the Redskins (who might actually have something going this year ?) and had to summon a magical Rodgers-comeback™ against Chicago, who barely beat the awful Cards yesterday, the Lions just beat the Pats but we don't know what that is worth yet, the Vikes layed the egg to end all eggs yesterday.
Very unclear situation, but it seems that the division is not as strong as advertised and the possibility that neither Vikes or Green Bay win it looks very real now. I would love to see the Bears re-emerge
Btw poor attitude from Vikes fans.

My minimally informed eye test says:
Cousins is the definition of a system QB...
Minny has problems on the O line...
Zimmy better get that run game going..
Let's see how they travel on a short week..
Another wounded animal scenario.

The Rams will win in a different way this game. Like I said in different thread, the Rams offense hasn't maxed out yet. The Vikings are on a short week too and they have to travel to LA and become time adjusted. Our Dline is ferocious and will make Cousins turn the ball over.
The Rams will put a 50 burger on the Vikings and win of course.

Case to Cousins is their biggest roster move. Could my dream be coming true? I thought Case was part of the reason that they were so good last year. Keenum was dumped for a more expensive QB, after taking them deep into the playoffs. It isn't his fault that the defense faltered. I've been hoping Case gets some Karma on Zimmer. Case has moxie and teammates love him. That is not the way it works with Cousins. He's a bit if a stiffer personality. Plus Keenum was able to scramble and avoid the rush. He was better at improvising. The players fed off that.
I have a friend from N. Dakota. After every Viking win she posts the score and a Skol on Facebook. She is a sweet girl. But, to me she is representative of that entire fan base. Lots on the bandwagon right now. No celebration post this week though.
It's funny because it's pretty much the same roster. But, after one loss their fans suddenly think they suck.

oline isn't great but our pass rush has been cancelled out with quick throws. it's not Cousins scrambling, it's his quick release. Defense definitely needs a better edge rusher. The Bills apply a ton of pressure from the edge, we are very weak there. Still think we got a great chance to win with our offense
Dating back to last year, I've never seen a team fan base do willing to jump ship like the vikings. Their forums were in shambles after the first preseason game lol
FWIW i understand a fan base being upset over a loss like this week against the Bills, the Vikings thought they were playing Wattamatter U, however, on any given Sunday....They were not ready and did not match the Bills in energy and could not recover once behind.
The Vikings were also looking ahead to Thursday and the Rams are wounded, the offense is going to have to step up and the Defensive Line is going to have to put pressure on Cousins in order to give the new CB's some help.

I think the Vikings are worse than the Chargers on offense everywhere, except possibly WR - but IMO Keenan Allen is better than both Diggs and Thielen - so even that might be a wash. But OL/QB/RB - all Chargers.
The Vikings defense hasn't looked as formidable this year as it did last, but still looks pretty good. Real test for the offense. Hopefully our team wants some revenge over what happened last year.
But man the Football Gods - how in the world are we down Webster/Hill/NRC last year against them and now Talib/Peters - wtf?
I'm confident in Hill and Shields - will be much better than what we had last year - but our front 7 will need to step up this game.

I have had this game circled since the season started. Really sucks we are down 2 CB and K. I am worried about this game but also now a little more excited.
This will be a good test for a few things. How does Wade adjust, if at all. And who steps up. Does someone take over a game? Maybe Suh, Donald?
Minnesota is a loaded team IMO, this should be a good test for both the players and coaches. Its a shame the 2 best teams in football IMO have to square off on Thursday with the short week. This would of been an ideal Sunday night game.

Rhodes is not all that great. He and Hughes can be beaten. Alexander is not good. It evens the loss of Talib and Peters, both of whom gave the Rams a big advantage.
So the Vikings weak Oline vs the Rams great interior pass rush, sans outside rush, or the Rams great Oline vs the Vikings very good pass rush. I still think the Rams have an edge.
Goff has been borderline great. Cousins not so much, and if anyone knows Cousins strengths and weaknesses, it’s McVay. Edge Rams, again.

Agreed. This game is an extremely bad matchup for us at this place and time. With our starting CBs we'd beat them, I am confident of that. But now we have them coming in for a prime time game vs our depth CBs and the Vikes are pi$$ed off and desperate to show that their terrible offensive showing last week wasn't them.
And the worst thing here is their defense hasn't looked like their normal selves, they've been struggling, but they are good at slowing a passing game and will be able to put some pressure on Boom.
IMO this should be a shootout type game. From there who knows and that worries me.

I'm not sure it'll be a shootout in the sense that it's a 42-37 or 35-33 type of game. I don't think the Vikings can get there.
I don't think it's a terrible matchup but it isn't ideal. If this were the Saints, Packers or Chiefs game I'd say the Rams are in big trouble. But the Vikings won't be able to take full advantage of a dinged up secondary because of their dinged up OL, especially the interior.
I think we are going to see the Rams score some points because the Vikings defense is not like it was last year for some reason. I can see the Rams scoring 30 again. But as I said I don't think the Vikings can.

If we had a healthy squad I would be much more comfortable in this game, hopefully the depth can step up, because that'll give us a nice chance to take a breather until the Seahawks. I want to win at least 3 out of 4 during each quarter of the season, so we're already there for the first quarter, it'll be nice to bank another one though for this road stretch we're going on after Thursday.
I expect the Vikes to put up high 20s or better. Their wideouts are gonna feast IMO. But yeah, if there ever was a time for our vaunted DL to take over a game it's this one. Got my fingers crossed and I'm hoping, of course, just don't like the matchup so we'll see.
Without Keenums heroics last year the Rams would have beaten minnesota soundly. Keenum scrambled and found an open receiver a handful of times when most QBs would have been sacked. Cousins is not much of a scrambler and at times doesnt seem to be aware of the pocket collapsing around him. If they dont get their OL straightened out our DL will feast on Cousins all night.
The Vikings are missing their entire interior line (who started last year in a 24-7 win vs Rams). Only their tackles remain, who will be going against new edge rushing starters for the Rams (Ebukam/Easley).
The key as many have said will be the lines. Rams need to protect Goff so he can have time to find recievers like they did vs the Chargers. Rams barely touched Keenum on the Vikes last year. They need to apply consistent pressure vs Cousins.
Minnesota will not be overlooking the Rams... and they're wanting to quickly put the Bills game behind them and play this next game better. Will the Vikings receivers have a field day vs the Rams secondary without 2 starters? Not if the Rams can apply pressure. The Viking fans are not confident about their O-line.
Rivers > Cousins. Vikings thought Kirk was their savior. He's better than Keenum, but in no HOF talks.
Another good thing is that it's not in Minnesota.
