No one will know until this indeed does lead to further injury for Rodgers. The NFL is reactive, not proactive. If he plays through it and has an amazing storybook season, then the NFL will capitalize on it. If it ends up being a disaster, then they'll punish someone or come up with more rules.

The way I look at it is, I don't think anyone is forcing Rodgers to play, he definitely wants to play through it himself, but that's where the coach/team is supposed to step in and do what's best for their future, like they did at the end of last year. However McCarthy doesn't have a future himself if he's without Rodgers for an extended period of time, again. I mean imagine if that were an ACL tear and the Packers went 4-12 with Kizer? McCarthy is probably fired before the season ends. So either way, McCarthy is going to ride Rodgers as long as he can, even if it means risking further injury, cuz the guy is out the door either way, if he ruins Rodgers or has to play without him. The only thing saving him is if Rodgers plays through the injury and has a good year.

I am so ready for this game. I will likely only get to catch the second half which is seriously stressing me out this week!

To me, with Rodgers in there this is a coon flip. I think we can all agree that the offense is going to have to do a lot more in this game then last week. Probably not getting 4 turnovers in this one.

Please please please learn from the Bears mistake. Score points in the 4th quarter.

I doubt McCarthy would risk Rodgers career to save his own hyde, but i dont see it as relevant. McCarthy isnt running the show in GB.

Exactly. The defense will keep the team in game, but it wont be able to win the game on it's own. I dont see Rodgers even if only at 75% scoring under 20 here.

i'm glad he vikes offense had at least one game before a division game like this. it also helped that the strength of SF's defensive line went right against the vikes weakness...the middle.

i thought the vikes looked good on offense...both from a scheme and execution perspective. they left a few points out there and got complacent in the second half, fortunately it didn't cost them bu it was obvious to everyone that it could have.

i honestly don't expect d flip to makes the same mistakes....and i expect cousins to get better and more in synch each week.

murray and cook should be able to gash this defense on sunday. i'm looking for the offense to win this game for the vikings.

Looked good? Our O put up 17 points. We need better production then that next week.

Once again our O line will be tested by a good interior line, probably a better one at that. Good news in regard to that is the DC we face this week openly prioritizes the pass.

Being mainly inmobile will allow the Vikings to find him. QB's in the pocket get hit around the legs all the time.
I have seen speculation that this is an MCL strain(mild) with 2 - 4 weeks healing time. However getting hit this week could cause futher damage, therefore the speculation that Rodgers may not play.
