After seeing this post this morning, I got curious about what the passer rating for quarterbacks has been over the past 3 seasons. Using PFR, I pulled all the data for every pass attempt both in the red zone and inside the 10 yard line for the past 3 seasons. The first thing I found is that a lot of different players (many not even QBs) have attempted red zone passes. I figured people would like to see the overall combined passer ratings in these 2 situations, however with some caveats. First, I had to put in a minimum number of attempts for both situations. For red zone passes, that number was 48, or 1 per game for all 3 seasons. For passes inside the 10 yardline, I did 75% of the red zone attempts, or 36 passes. For red zone passes, Deshone Kizer was the closest without making the list at 42 attempts (and a 42.4 passer rating). For inside the 10, Colin Kaepernick was closest with 31 attempts and an 89.1 passer rating.
