It was certainly better, but they continued to give the ball to Barber, which got really annoying for fantasy purposes. He's clearly talented, but hasn't been given the chance to really blow up.

Wow, Gus had the quietest 700+ yard season ever. It was basically all in garbage time! I'm not sure if he's anything special, it's just that the Ravens run the ball so darn well.

You're right about Michel, just saw his 3.7 YPC was the worst in the top 10 (for this class) and he really only got there by having the 2nd most carries behind Chubb out of these guys. His longest run was a measly 26 yards so yeah, given his health issues it looks like he may have lost his speed. He was never meant to be a long term solution but it's sad to see his knee's are already looking like dust.

I think a lot of teams are simply more comfortable going with the committee approach, Barber isn't a total slouch himself but yeah, for fantasy purposes its like please pick one guy! lol.

Gus wasn't on my radar at all and given every team is scared to death of Jackson and how well they run the ball it's possible he's nothing special. Ingram also ran for 1018 yards so clearly it's a great spot for runners.

Hmm, guess I missed that about Penny. I obviously liked him a lot pre-draft, hope he gets healthy and gets a shot to be the lead dog sometime soon.

Agreed about Jackson and Gordon. In fact I feel like their offense as a whole took a step back when Gordon came back, I think they became more predictable and easier to defend.

Reviewing my old draft threads to see what went right and what went wrong! (I guess we already looked at this one once but another year so let's see how things have changed)

#1 - Saquon Barkley - Pretty much everyone's #1 RB so nothing to really say here.

#2 - Nick Chubb - My best pick for sure.

#3 - Derrius Juice - completely derailed by injuries.

#4 - Sony Michel - Bad knees kept him from hitting his ceiling and as Dan and I talked about before, he just doesn't have any explosiveness that I saw from him in college. Barely a grinder anymore.

#5 - Kerryon Johnson - Johnson seemed like a beast his rookie year but just got worse and worse as he got beat up. Crazy how fast these RB's have dropped out of the league from injuries.

#6 - Rocye Freeman - Decent rookie and sophomore years but completely fell off.

#7 - Ronald Jones II - Didn't do much his rookie year but had 724 yards rushing year 2 and 979 year 3. 428 in year 4 stuck in a timeshare with Fournette and all those guys.

#8 - Rashad Penny - Finally got the Seattle backfield to himself a little bit and rushed for 749 yards and 6 TD's.

#9 - Justin Jackson - Scat back who's carved out a back up role for himself with the Chargers.

#10 - Chase Edmunds - Nice player the past 2 years with 850 all purpose yards, 5 TD's last year and 903 with 2 TD's this year.

Biggest thing from this year is the amount of injuries and guys who looked promising but just fell off because of them. Penny finally got to emerge a little but Freeman lost a lot of work to Fournette. Edmunds was solid again.
