Kirk Cousins should have a good year for the Vikings. Because of the way this team has been built, any decent quarterback should have a good season with the Vikings.

As I stated before, this is a good situation for Cousins. The Vikings may be better for Cousins than Cousins is for the Vikings at that price.

The Vikings still have needs, especially on the offensive line, and the Cousins contract is already pressing the cap. Will Cousins be able to make enough difference to overcome that? I hope so, but Cousins does not get the ball out quickly, and that makes a huge difference when the line fails.

The Eagles still have most of their personnel. The Rams and Cowboys have improved. The Packers will have Rodgers back and improved coaching. The Saints will still have Brees, and their young players are impressive. The 49ers should be improved, and the Lions could have another up season.

Let us hope the new Vikings OC can implement a better offense and Cousins can command it as well as his agent can command top dollar in free agency.

The Cowboys improved? Up to this point they have signed Marcus Martin (backup-caliber center), Deonte Thompson (#3 WR at best), Allen Hurns (#2-3 WR if healthy), and Cameron Fleming (borderline starting RT). They've lost a starting LB in Anthony Hitchens and a starting guard in Jonathan Cooper. They're barely been able to do anything due to their salary cap being so low. If anything the team has gotten worse since free agency started.

We beat him for the division title in his own backyard with our version of Brett Hundley (Teddy Bridewater), so don't give me this crap that our 13 and 16 point wins over Hundley this past year were meaningless when our QB WASN'T Aaron Rodgers but Case friggin Keenum. Which only proves a proper football team can win without having a QB like Aaron Rodgers. We also beat her majesty to open our new stadium with Sam Bradford, with both teams at full strength. In both those games the z-fense held Rodgers to 13 and 14 points and a total of 3 TD's. So again, explain to me why it counts when they beat our crappy QB's, but not when we beat theirs?

Our current squad is even better, on offense and defense, while the Packers have only gotten worse now losing Jordy Nelson. Soon they'll have to back the Brinks truck up for Aaron Rodgers and that's only going to make them weaker going forward. Once again they're going to put all their eggs in a very fragile basket that has broken collar syndrome because they can't seem to learn their lesson.

I think you read too deeply into my comparison lol. I didn't necessarily mean in the skill department, I meant in the value department. The Packers went 3-7 with Hundley. Do they go better than 3-7 with Teddy? I seriously doubt it. And yes I don't think Teddy is much better than Webb. With our defense I think Webb could go 11-5 too. Even Christian Ponder might be able to too. I give Teddy the advantage in the throwing department against Webb, which really isn't saying much, but Webb was far superior on the ground. Overall maybe it's a push.

I think incredibly lowly of Teddy, as a player (I still think he's the nicest kid in the universe and I'd totally let him date my sister), because I've never seen him do anything that gave me a reason to believe otherwise. I can't think of one game that we won simply because Teddy was our QB that day. I can think of plenty of games that we most likely lost because he was our QB. I watched Webb lead us back from a 20 some point deficit on the road, against a division rival, in relief of Ponder, and had a shot at winning the game had the refs not conveniently missed one of the most obvious face masks in NFL history. Has Teddy even ever brought us back from a 7 point deficit? I remember him fumbling 2 games away on the final drive when we only needed a FG, but yeah I don't recall him ever putting the team on his back and leading us back with some clutch play.

Then again he was never really asked to do much, which is an indictment all by itself if you ask me. Hundley on the other hand, it didn't seem like the Packers held him back all that much despite his inability to throw the ball. I naturally get suspicious of a guy when his own team is holding him back or not asking him to do too much into his 3rd year as the starter. Rookie year, fine, but after that, they must see something if they still haven't taken the training wheels off because we see teams even let rookies throw the ball around and it works out well more often than we're led to believe. So yeah, when a guy comes along and he's coddled the way Teddy was, that tells me a lot.

Bridgewater is far better then Hundley, not a comparison. But also, it really isn't comparable for the reason that a Rodgerless GB is has considerable cap and resource allocation discrepancy, which you can read above. Not too mention an O tailored for a transcendental QB.

It didn't seem like they held Hundley back at all? They ran a completely different O with him at QB.
