I didn't realize that Hundley had played out his contract. I think he had one or two good games last year, but a whole lot more bad stuff. I understand that many people like Chris, and I think a lot of what those guys go on and on about is just scripted (intended to keep the fringe audience from getting bored by adding/creating some added intrigue and storylines in addition to the actual freaking game that many of us are trying to follow). Once they go beyond announcers and start to become "personalities," they start to irritate me. I'm just old school and long for the days when the announcers just gave the audience useful information about what was going on in the game. It started with Monday night football circa 1970 and has just grown from that point. First time they were targeting a prime time audience instead of Sunday afternoon die hard fans. Oh well....

I had forgotten that Randall was a first round pick. Looks like Cleveland will need to decide whether or not to exercise his fifth year option. Probably just one more way the Packers are trying to free up future dollars in order to extend Rodgers.

They'll probably keep them both, as they are on dirt cheap rookie contracts.

I heard there was a 4th Browns trade coming yesterday, and here it is:



Shelton was one of the better run defenders in the league so I don't know why they're shipping him out for a conditional draft pick. If it's a low pick, that's a great trade for the Patriots.

Yeah, though it must be disappointing for the Browns to have to wait until 2019 to use that 3rd round pick. Patriots get 2 years of Shelton and a 5th rounder this year, so I'd say they have the better end of the deal.

Let's take this time to remember that the Packers let Hayward go become one of the best corners in the league with the Chargers... and the Packers now have one of the league's worst secondaries.
