It's just too bad that wasn't the Super Bowl because our nerves gotta go through all this maybe 2 more times before we can finally relax or begin another off season letdown.
Another common thing I've heard people say is how meaningless that ending was unless we win the Super Bowl now. I suppose they're right, but it still ranks right up there as one of the greatest endings ever. It has to be if that's the first ever regulation walkoff TD in playoff history, which I still find hard to believe.
There have now been 552 playoff games in NFL history, which is about 2 full seasons worth of football, and you're telling me none have ended in a walkoff TD? Not even from the 5 yard line? What about the Drew Pearson push off? How much time was left on the clock? So I suppose they're not including games if there were still a few seconds on the clock. Like Favre to Lewis wouldn't count as a walkoff because there were still 4 seconds on the clock and we had to kickoff 1 more time. By that definition then yeah I suppose it's a very rare thing. The clock hit :00 when Diggs was at the ½ yard line so it was that close to not being a walkoff lol.
Just like ask any Fudgies fan about 4th and 26...
