Lol, says the person who picked the Browns to beat the Packers. I was just thinking, everyone has forgotten we have another quarterback on the team who could be coming back in a few weeks. I too, would gladly move forward with Keenum instead of Bradford if things keep going the way they have. But we don't know that "we're done with Bradford", lol. A lot could happen between now and next year.

You're right, you chose Baltimore to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh so that's much less of a reach. *whistle*

But I didn't say Bradford would be back. I don't know. I said I'd be glad to move forward with Casey if he keeps playing well and I said we don't know what will happen between now and next year. And we don't. Much could happen. Case could get injured. Teddy could get injured. They both could get injured. Sloter could get injured. Case could leave. We. just. don't. know. Things could happen that result in us having to keep Bradford.

I would rather move on with Sloter than see Bradford another year. Self sack is a talented passer but we just can't rely on him. Wherever he goes, that team is going to have to have a pretty solid #2.

We'd have the greatest QB ever if we could package Sams arm with Keenums mobility/escapability, which is even better than Theodore. Right now Teddy only has the stiff arm advantage so his stock is dropping fast.

And if Keenum doesn't keep playing like he has been? It's Teddy time. Again, Sam is done. Sam is done this year. He's likely done as a Viking. And he may even be done for his career. You have Sam-love because you continue to hold on to this hope that Sam is coming back despite a gazillion reports to the contrary. AS I SAID, I am relieved to be done with Bradford. We are much better off with Keenum and/or Teddy. Any semi-mobile QB, really. Having Bradford out of there kind of makes it obvious of his glaring limitations when things break down. Today? Bradford would have died today. The Sam-love is there because you couldn't just let that comment slide. I admire your loyalty, but it's time to move on from the hope that Sam is coming back ... even as a backup.

I agree 100% let them fight it out next offseason this is Keenums season to finish if he's healthy . He was sharp today but did have some sick throws . If his receivers caught the ball he would have won easily . That Diggs drop was pathetic and that fumble would NEVER of been called a fumble if Rogers did it . The Vikings will always have to beat two opponents thats just how the league is set up . The NFL wants certain teams in the SB I have been a fan long enough to know that the continual bias the Vikings face season after season is no accident .

I put a lot of blame on the receivers also....but Keenum had some straight up terrible throws. That "drop" by Diggs was not a good throw. And I'm not just talking it was high - as soon as it left his hand I said "oh sh*t". It was a lollipop across the field that looked off target - triggered my "throw across the body" PTSD even before it went south. He underthrew or missed his spots several times today.

That said...if Thielen pulls in that gimme TD and Diggs finds a way to just hang on to that bad throw his line looks a lot better. His line and receivers didn't help him at all, but he deserves some of the share of the blame. But nowhere near most of it. He wasn't good today, but he wasn't bad either.

For those waiting for Keenum to implode, it seemed like this might be the game after he threw an early pick. But rather than bringing on a regression, it brought out the best in him. The stat line might not be the most eye-popping but Keenum was evasive when pressured and accurate when throwing, only to be consistently let down by his receivers (five drops including one that was intercepted) and his protection (24 plays under pressure on his 55 dropbacks). The result was not what the Vikings wanted, but in defeat they learned more good things about the man who has earned the right to lead them in a potential playoff game.

This grade sounds too high to me as his two interceptions were bad throws. The O-line was trash and gave up approximately 8 sacks but Keenum dodged 2 of them, so he deserves credit there. There's no way Sam or Teddy outplay Keenum today with this Panthers pass rush.

Agreed, his play in the pocket allowed this to stay close. At the same time - his accuracy was not good today. I'm confused by that grade, I don't think this was anywhere near a great performance for Keenum - especially compared to his legitimately great games he's had for us.

And here's a little more from PFF just for good measure:

WRS ADAM THIELEN (66.9) & STEFON DIGGS (59.3)

So often the bright spot for this offense, the two picked the same day to have arguably their worst games of the season. Thielen redeemed himself with a long catch and run for a touchdown, but it can’t be forgotten that he dropped a ball in the endzone and then failed to secure another that left the team settling for three. As for Diggs, his day will be remembered for the drop that became an interception, taking points off the board essentially with Minnesota in field goal range. An abherraiton by both? Vikings fans will certainly hope so.

I know Thielen dropped those balls in the endzone, but how can he have a below average rating after that big TD? This goes to show that PFF overrates certain aspects of a player - dropping 2 passes is lousy but methinks if you put up a great performance it should nullify the mistakes.

That "fumble" was the most ridiculous call I've ever seen in the NFL. The ball was spiraling and went like 15 yards. So what if the defender hit his hand and caused it to miss its target. We seem to be making this crap up as we go these days....

That play should be a fumble. My problem is that if it was Rodgers or Brady or Brees....then it's an incomplete.
