In the last 6+ quarters, the opponents scored 46 points on the Vikings D and the Vikings O managed 20 points (maybe wrong on the actual details). Like any good team, a well-coached team, the Vikings managed to win both games. At 3-0, the Vikings fans and the league both did not know what they had. What the 6 quarters of play did was took a little mystery off of the D and the shine off of the O. Hopefully the bye week gave enough time for Sam's ribs to heal. hopefully allowing him to move well in the pocket and put enough on his throws and gave Aaron Jones, the Vikings player, an opportunity to get better and maybe get a few calls for edge runs (Hutch being gone). The newly added RB and Hock should be of great help, if they can get into the game.
This Lions game, this early in the season, becomes a critical game, not just because its a division game, not just for 6-0, but for the D to get some of its mystic back and the O to get back its luster and the team to get back its awe and equally importantly, to start to build that impenetrable wall, that is the Home field advantage.
Hope the Vikes get a resounding win and of course no more injuries, as the players and the CS both surely know that the next bye is not all the way till the first round :)
