I put on the Purple Daily show for a few minutes and it amazes me that some people feel the need to prove their prognostications. The little guy, Declan, claimed that Sam Darnold was the reason the Vikings lost this game. I mean, damn, he dimed JJ for a TD, the deep ball to Addison, and a couple of basket-dropping tosses. He's been on Darnold's ass since he signed and I think his continued comments are an effort to try and make himself relevant based off his previous know-it-all statements.

Anyone that watched that game can not honestly say Darnold was the reason they lost. Hell, nobody is perfect but one could just as easily say Darnold was a reason why the Vikings were in the game in the first place. It didn't take long for me to turn off their show.

Just so you know, the only real 3rd and short the Vikings had this game was the 3rd and 2 they converted for 11 yards to Nailor. The vast majority of 3rd downs were 3rd and long, mostly due to bad penalties.

Sam is bottom 5 in how long it takes him to throw the ball. That's not his fault? That wasn't the Jets killer CB duo he was up against today. Declan knows football. It wasn't all on Sam. That's a media guy doing a hot take, which unfortunately is his job.

There were way too many penalties. But Darnold was slow on his reads many times. That's just a fact. And he had several more instances where he could have taken off and got positive yards when virtually the entire Defense had their back turned to him.

Bottom line is that he needs to make faster decisions. Kevin needs to give him easier reads too. Hockenson being back will help with that. As will benching Ingram. But he didn't see open guys against the Jets and he didn't see open guys today. It's becoming a problem.

Statistically twe have the worst pass D in the league...look it up. So tired of people raving about our D. We got shredded by Goff! Yeh that Goff. Horrible schemes. Gave up 40 yards in 4 plays to lose the game. I could have thrown into that soft zone coverage. Sure we are 5-1 but good teams find ways to win games like this one.

Did you know if you up big teams pass a lot therefore, relying on stats alone especially one or pick and choosing the ones you like,is inaccurate, incomplete, and unreliable.

I don't like the idea of 'blaming the refs', especially when some football fans use it to deflect from the shortcomings of their team.

However it is also a disservice to the game of football if the refs are not called out for egregious incompetence/bias.

For example, there were a number of extremely brutal non-calls AND the non-reversal on the Harrison Phillips fumble recovery marks the second time this year that the officials in the 'replay booth' proved that they can be given clear video evidence and still f*ck it up.

As everyone knows, football is a game of momentum, and the officiating errors really impacted momentum-changing plays & impacted the outcome of a very close game.

Also, f*ck the TV announcers, who were too scared to destroy everyone's fun by calling out missed/blown calls as they do in hundreds of games each year. To make matters worse, the TV crews chose to make brutal excuses for the officiating crew & not show the same revealing angles in the replay as we saw live during the plays! This was yet another example I have seen over the years (including many not involving the Vikings) that points to the NFL prioritizing narratives, high-profile 'faces of the league' players, the appearance of competitiveness, and marketable moments over the actual integrity of the rules.

It's become more about that, Gambling, and just plain WWE-style sh*t.
