Short answer, It feels good. Really good actually.
Long term goals answer is I liked Kevin from the moment I watched him get off the plane with his young family. I listened to his press conference and the respect he gave our legends like Bud and jokingly luring Studwell out of retirement. This guy gets us.
Much has been made jokingly about chemistry and collaboration mostly by a certain Reign(on everyone's parade)man but teamwork is always key to any success in well everything, business, sports and life. A marriage doesn't work without trust.
So what about my feelings about the other half of this partnership Kwesi? Didn't pay much attention immediately after the hire. Mostly glad that other guy was gone. Didn't like his head scratching 1st draft. Now he's better.
It will always come down to coaches. We have that. I don't believe in luck. 13 wins with "luck" doesn't happen. You need to be close enough to get "lucky" or not as the biggest comeback in history showed, to take advantage of what unlucky thing happened to your opponent. Kevin has shown me enough to believe he has "it". The thing that makes teams believe. Beliefs creates wins and wins make fans believe. Get it done son!
Now and the future? Well after a few off seasons and time to clear out old dieing wood I think we are finally seeing the vision come together. A team that plays fast and aggressive but focused and deliberate to the task. My biggest regret is JJ can't contribute and my biggest worry is Nick the pick will have too. Out of our control.
Just enjoy the now and let the future worry about itself. That's some advice from a older man who's recently been confronted with this focus on life philosophy.
SKOL!!!
