Yikes, 5 game losing streak after being nearly perfect against former teams. We'll give Mr. George Shaw a pass since it was only our 3rd game ever and we lost on a last second 52 yard FG. And I know Funkytown was at one of those games. *whistle*

That was a really fun game to be at.

A few thoughts:

Case Keenum is an effing baller. Love his grit.
Elite defense, at least for today. That first drive scared me, but dang they redeemed themselves and then some!
I love our TEAM! Just a bunch of guys in different roles doing their part, especially on offense. That's so refreshing.
Shurmur is good at what he does.
I LOVE Vikings fans.
Hooked on a Thielen!
Haha Packers! Suck it! (Every time they showed the score of that game, 60,000+ fans went nuts.)

Eagles with the easiest route of the 4 teams, Rams the most difficult. We'll find out what they're made of down the stretch. Rams got the Saints at home next week, go Rams! And they got the Eagles at home in week 14. Then at Seattle in week 15. Not gonna be easy. The Eagles only really have a road game against Seattle. Maybe Dallas at home in the finale. Saints have at Rams, at Atlanta, home vs Carolina, then home vs Atlanta.

We have 3 straight road games starting Thursday, at Detroit, at Atlanta, and at Carolina. If we can survive that, then we finish up with Cincy at home, at Lambeau, and then Chicago at home.

LOL I gave them credit. Unlike those tweeter heads, I come up with my own stats. But it was based on records going into today. Green Bay started the day 5-4, same with Buffalo. But by no means are those teams any good anymore, especially the Pukers who lost Rodgers. And yeah, the Vikings get credit for beating an 8-2 team. The results would change greatly if I added up the opponents records going into the game at the time of the game. For example, the Redskins had 2 fewer losses by the time we played them, so that would boost our strength of schedule. That's too much work and I don't think it does a better job of explaining your schedule. Do the Redskins seem like a 4-4 team or a 4-6 team? The win seemed impressive at the time, but it's dropping. Maybe they weren't that good after all. The Vikings started 5-0 last year, then went 3-8 the rest of the way, so which team were they? Were they really 5-0 caliber when they were 5-0? I'm sure the Eagles felt pretty good about themselves when they beat us, but then everyone beat us after that lol. Even when we were 5-0, we were more like an 8-8 team who got lucky.

Indeed. 50 of the 80 teams who have started 8-2 since 1978 (when 16 game schedules began) have earned a first round bye (1st or 2nd seed). 26 of them grabbed the #1 seed.

Having both a game up and the head to head tiebreaker against the Saints would have been helpful going into this part of the schedule.

Washington's folly made this much more difficult.

Not on first down. I don't care if there are ten different play calls that are runs to Murray to the left side, they still end up with a Murray carry to the left on first down for a short gain or loss most of the time. Shurmur has to mix it up.

When it is second or third down and very long (15+), Shurmur hides in a hole with his Schnelker draw plays and LOS pass plays. This may be to avoid a higher percentage turnover, so I have to reserve judgment, but it isn't what we see in Green Bay or New England. Then again, the Vikings don't have Rodgers or Brady at quarterback.

Calling the wildcat shows Shurmur hasn't grown up yet as a coordinator. They are low percentage plays, and they upset momentum.

McVay turned the music volume up at practice throughout the week to prepare for the crowd noise in one of the NFL’s loudest stadiums.

But pumping up the bass, and placing speakers directly alongside the offense, couldn’t completely prepare the Rams for 66,809 screaming Vikings fans. Goff said there was no doubt the crowd played a role in Sunday’s game.

“There were issues at times, for sure,” he said.

McVay said there were issues during third-down situations, adding that the crowd was able to “definitely disrupt some things.”

The Rams took a delay-of-game penalty and had to use timeouts after a couple of communication breakdowns.
