Week 1 - Vikes @ Giants Support Group

So many good things today.

Ginklenman, outstanding. Pick six and TD saving tackle. Has anyone put a bigger dent in Daniel Jones career than the Gink. Very surprised at the extension Gink gets when going airborne for a tackle. I dont think I have seen a guy cover more ground with those airborne tackles, I remember that when he was with the Dolphins. Great pickup.

I will try unpack what I loved.

* For the first time in years ( I know its only one game) but we look to have competent cornerback play. And we didnt have to spend four first round picks trying. Love the tackling and hard hitting from Gilmore. Its so refreshing after watching Pat P and his weak tackling that its a huge add.

* Boy do the Giants ever miss Barkley. How stupid to let him walk.

* For the first time in years we got some real active linebackers..

* I dont know if anyone noticed but Bullard played a nice game on the D line. Not many stats but he was collapsing the pocket. Very encouraging.

* So this is what a Brian Flores defense when he can get pick his own style players looks like. Outstanding.

* Aaron Jones was terrific. Surprised me that he doesnt look like he has lost anything to his game. The one yard rush for a first down might have been his best rush of the day. He just moved the pile. The vision the speed, I was expecting a slowed down version of JOnes. The Vikings haven had a rushing game for three years.

* Offensive line looked as good as it has in while. Between Darrisaw and O Niel man handled Thibideox. I guess he was so bad they benched him.

* O Donnell was as good as Cousins in every respect. Made nice throws then when ahead managed the game very well. Cousins was always bad a putting away games. Because of that I was expecting the Giants to catch up.


I am sure you guys are aware Cousins stunk up the joint today in Atlanta.
