Bitter and blamed everone but himself, conveniently omitting he was as much of the reason for the team falling apart as anything else. KOC took pretty much the same roster in 2022 and went 13-4 with it the next season. Just sayin'.
It was also apparent Spielman went rogue with picks, too. Jesus, what a damn shitshow that 2021 draft was. I did agree with what Zimmer said on that. Really glad the Vikings got rid of both guys and brought in KAM/KOC and have two guys working together with one vision.
When Zimmer and Spielman were doing that when Zim first got hired, we had one hell of a football team. Feels like we're close to that again.
Despite this, the Vikings scored exactly one more point and gave up exactly one less in 2021. The team was statistically slightly better, but was much worse defensively on the final drives of games and it lead to a much worse record. Of course, in the end none of that mattered when the Vikes became exactly what many of us said they were in the playoffs.
