Jordan Addison Arrested for DUI

It's about what society should tolerate in my opinion. There are certain things that it should not... like murder. By doing nothing, society encourages it. Hiding behind an argument that an eye for eye is bad is kind of lazy in my opinion. Society should not tolerate murder, and I'm personally not a fan of locking them up and never letting them out. If there's no hope for rehabilitation (if you call what our justice system does rehabilitation) for whatever crime it is... well.. that should answer it... that of course assumes a working justice system, but that's a different conversation and we all that's broken too. So if we want to talk about this, talk about the real problems. /endphilosophicalrant

Obviously, it's a lot more nuanced than that. I'm not a fan of putting someone in jail for something that will never happen again, but that's not what we're talking about with Addison either. The kid is a moron behind the wheel. Society should do something about it given it's his second offense. He is a threat to the lives of others as it stands right now. And his employer is investing millions into the kid too. This isn't about Addison being a role model. From the Viking's standpoint, it's about doing enough to protect their investment in him and keeping him on the field. He gets drunk and kills himself or others, that investment is gone. I know I'm being cold, but that is something the team cares about, so I do think there's some intelligence to the NFL or the Vikings doing something disciplinary in hopes of getting through to him. We just lost Jackson to an alcohol related incident. I would think that alone would have made the kid think twice about getting behind the wheel after having a few drinks. We'll eventually find out what he blew, but I have a hard time believing he wasn't very drunk if he managed to fall asleep on a busy freeway near LAX. Hard time. And the time it took to pick up and take him in and all of that, that's time to burn it off too.

Outside of the mistake of putting people life’s at risk here’s another. When your mistake affects others it magnifies it. I’m not talking just about fans wanting to win. KO and Kwesi not getting extended yet and our owner waiting to see what happens first. So Addison selfish act could cost people jobs as well.

I get it his crime not a life ender because no one got killed but it was a pretty big mistake that could potentially affect others.

Then you do believe in a eye for a eye. Nobody saying Addison is that but. Kill people in cold blood. A gangster goes around killing people. Then he gets killed. I wouldn’t do it. But if someone else does it’s how it goes. He killed people now someone gets him. To me that’s fair as harsh as it seems. I don’t want to pay taxes feeding a sick dude who broke in a house a killed folks. Send them to there maker . I wouldn’t do it but if that’s what happens that what happens. If you spend your life stealing and scamming people. Then someone gets you how can you be mad. That’s what you did🤷🏾‍♂️ The wages of sin is death. Your decisions and actions can come back to haunt you no doubt. Sorry fine but you still have to do the time for the crime. Maybe I think different because I’m from Texas. You can and will get the death penalty around here we endorse it for certain cases.

Rehabilitate for a nut no we turn insane killas into shark meat around these parts. Learn our history in these parts. These laws here don’t play that.

So to finish and get this back on topic. So Jordan Addison been told what can happen. So if he kept doing it and killed someone it’s no longer an accident. Because he been told it becomes what? I will let y’all decide 🤷🏾‍♂️ This his chance to avoid that. It’s a blessing it was only a misdemeanor,Next time might not be so kind.

I'm not advocating an eye for an eye. It's not about vengeance which is what an eye for an eye means to me. I'm saying if the person is always going to be a danger to society it's better to end his/her life than keep them in prison for 60 years.
