I think the thing is that he's already on thin ice as it is with the team and would want to be on the field as much as possible to remind the team that he can still be a big-time contributor.
Him being out 3 games would hurt that goal (even if the punishment is well-deserved) this season since the incident is still fresh or something like that.
Combine that with him more than likely missing the Giants game, and that's Four games.
Four games with Jefferson being triple-teamed.
Four games with Nailor being moved to WR2....
yeah...I'm not going to pretend I know what Jordan is thinking (it's his decision what to do here) but it would really stink if he was out 4 total games this season. I'll just leave it at that.
Life for the team will be easier though if he's suspended after Hockenson returns.
I think the players association would throw a fit if a team pressured a player so settle a court case early so just to speed up the timeline for a suspension
