Stop drinking the koolaid. Kirk Cousins was overpaid. He was also definitely a starting QB in the NFL and proved it plenty. Sam Darnold is a huge draft bust that MIGHT start half the season if he is lucky. He is a career backup.

So he won't do any better than Kirk in the playoffs, if we even get there. I think most people realize that, other than a few SamIamistans. He may be worse in the regular season, who cares about the regular season other than a few million Purple Homers?

Well, I'm not drunk now but the evening is young here in the desert (or dessert, I can never get those straight (roflmao)

I (Sam) am heading to the pool when the grandkids get here. It was still pretty cool this morning, but the hot tub was nice.

Not seeing Darnold as having any thing like JG's arrogance, basically the opposite: how much of his confidence and swagger can KOC and the rest rebuild before September? In terms of physical tools, he's got 'em...in terms of scheme, we know it's likely the best he's had...definitely the best skill players he's had...so, hopefully he's that kid on Xmas morning that got all the presents he could've wanted, and we got a blue-chip draft pick QB for a serious discount....

No it isn't! There are quite a few QBs from this past free agency period that could've balled out in our offense this upcoming season and there wouldn't be this huge drop off in QB play. Perhaps if we were talking about a Peyton Manning or Big Ben I might agree with you but we're not, we're talking about Kirk, a limited QB.

I believe you're the one who's going to have a rude awakening when you witness no huge drop off in QB play. Wakeup! We're talking about Kirk Cousins here not Peyton Manning or Big Ben. Kirk was and will always be a very limited QB. With the offense we have SamIam should be able to lead us to plenty of wins. Minor drop off in QB play if that.

Unlike Cousins, SamIam can move around and pick up 1st downs when pressured. And who's to say the IOL will be awful?
