Lol leave it to you to prove what I was just pointing out in order to single out something that has already been explained ad nauseum. While trying to make it seem like it was all done to attack poor poor Kirk. 

Instead of assuming everything and everyone is solely out to make Cousins look bad, just try using some common sense. That will lead you to the answer as to why PPD is used.

I use PPD for all types of analysis whether it involves Cousins or not. The reason isn't related to making people or teams or anyone look bad. It is because it shows the amount of points the team score each time it gets the ball. It helps better measure efficiency while eliminating pace as a factor (in comparison to per game stats). The Chiefs were 15th in Points per game this year and Broncos 19th. Based on that you might argue they were pretty close offensively. However when you eliminate the difference in total number of drives and judge them by PPD you see Chiefs were actually 10th and Denver 21st. That gap is more representative of the difference between the offenses. It has literally nothing to do with trying to make it look like Cousins sucks lol. 

In a different thread I did a breakdown of the last 8 superbowls to show that offense has been more important to making a deep sb run than defense in recent history. I used PPD. SB teams have had an average rank of 4.44 and an average defensive rank of 10.38. 5/16 defenses were ranked 15th or worse while 0/16 offenses were that poor. Once again this is because no matter what the analysis is about whether it is Kirk or an overall look, PPD gives slightly better context...

Do you think that people bringing up wins have never talked about and don't even understand that there is more to it? Do you think after 6 years if anyone wants to make a basic point they need to include 50 pages of context to show they are making the comment within that context? Lol it should be obvious that most people pointing out issues with Kirk can gladly go further in depth when the defenders come around and do this. Look at how much context is already being provided but not really touched as days later people still ignore it all.

Just saying but what about defense and half the other stuff people deflect to isn't actually taking into account the full context either. The reality is if our offense had been elite the defense would have been good enough multiple times during his time here. People have responded with all of the help the offense has had as well. He has been surrounded by a great arguably top 5 group of weapons/skill players most of his time here as well for context on the offensive side. Despite that as was pointed out already the offense was 17th in scoring percentage over Cousins time here. As I have covered before we have averaged around 14th in terms of points per drive that span as well. So despite a ton of surrounding talent we have still mostly been mediocre on the side of the ball he has the most impact. An elite QB should have much better results even if you ignore the defense completely (like someone was then was responded to with the "so winning is only on the QB BS"). The list of reasons and context and examples and data backing up the issues is massive over the years but each time the discussion happens people pretend it's never been covered and the only possible thing being used to judge is wins (because that strawman is easier to deflect with). 

It's not remotely difficult at this point to understand and the context is clearly behind those pointing out issues. That's why he is overrated and overpaid to most, especially outside this fan base. That is why he is not considered elite or even top 10 most of his time here (except 2022) to those outside the fan base. That is why people point out the lack of winning, the context says his performance is PART of the issue as the most important player. The ones ignoring all of the context to focus on wins in this manner are the ones that always ignore said context to do so even when someone is directly providing the context like we see earlier in this very thread. Rinse repeat. Ignoring context is bad, which is why people need to stop doing so and trying to use straw man BS to deflect. It's funny a poster here called out someone else for saying Cook was top 10 and bashed him. Fans have no problem throwing our other players under the bus just to defend Kirk.

It's very simple, the ones pointing out the lack of winning are almost always doing so knowing the context. We are all Vikings fans. Thats why the large majority outside this fan base have seen Kirk similar for years and make jokes with every contract etc... It just doesn't make sense to write 5 pages explaining all of the details pointed out over 6 years every single day when someone gets defensive about Cousins. Especially since it's usually ignored anyways lol. 

Preach it. Just look at what happened to the Colts when Manning got hurt vs. when Brady got hurt. Nothing against Tom, he deserves a spot in Canton. But Manning was a better QB, regardless of the number of rings.

I do want to nitpick this - the backup QB was a big reason in your comparison. The Patriots had Matt Cassel who turned out to be a low-end starter / great backup and the Colts had a handful of garbage options in Painter and Orlovsky. It is very telling that Cassel went on to start 66 games after that and the Painter/Orlovsky combo never started a game again (or even struggle to hold a backup job again). To me this highlights more the importance of having a quality backup (and an amazing coaching staff that turned a random 7th rounder who wasn't a starter in college into a good backup). And yes, the Patriots could rely on their defense more than the Colts but I felt the need to point that out.

Though ironically that coaching staff couldn't turn 3rd rounder Kevin O'Connell into a decent backup. Heh, there's my way of making my post somewhat relevant to this thread's actual topic.
