QB if we move up into the top 4.

After seeing the Giants not take a QB, trade back to 15 with the Colts and pickup a day 2 pick. Draft picks:
15: Penix
23: Sweat (also could go CB here maybe)
Day2: Pearsall/WR

I think this would be three starters if we assume the third wr in this group. Not sure i see any other realistic better option to fill holes. Note: i like Pearsall but im sure there could be other WRs in this area that could also fill this spot.

Less likely a possibility but depends how things shift in the next few weeks leading up to the draft but i would rather have:

15: Verse
23: Penix
Day2 Pearsall/WR

I'm not looking at Special Teams. With all the depth guys Minnesota lost you can easily make the argument that multiple guys picked on Day 3 regardless of position will be on the all the return units.

Sweat is a Yes for me. But again, that's only if Kwesi trades back. He's not a 1st Round graded guy.

Boyd is interesting because he does have some Pass rushing juice. Bullard and Williams are strictly run stoppers. He would have a good chance to beat out Roy.

Nourzad won't be ready as a Rookie, IMO. The only guys who would be IMO are JPJ, Frazier and Van Pran. Not good depth at either Center or Guard after the 2nd Round guys.

I know we've been "ruined" a bit by the quality (or lack thereof) of the OL Rd 3/Day 3 selections during the Spielman era (Wyatt Davis, Dru Samia, Danny Isidora, Willie Beavers, TJ Clemmings, etc), but it is possible in most Drafts to find a OL prospect in Rd 4 that can have a decent impact as a rookie. Case in point, I think Zach Tom out of Wake Forest was a rising Day 3 prospect in the 2022 pre-Draft process (had a great Shrine Bowl, crushed the Combine and had a really nice RAS) and was selected in the 4th by Green Bay that year & played 450+ snaps at LT, LG & RG, appearing in 9 games and starting 5. Last year it was Eastern Michigan IOL Sidy Sow who had a great pre-Draft process at the Senior Bowl & Combine and was drafted in the 4th by New England, appearing in 15 games and starting 13 at RG.

I do think there's an IOL prospect in the 4th who could follow a similar pathway to finding some early playing time in Year 1 and having a good impact. The guys who study Day 3 prospects the most - The Bootleg Football guys (Brett Kollman & EJ Snyder) - love SDSU Mason McCormick and Penn St Hunter Nourzad as the two IOL early Day 3 prospects to continue that tradition in 2024, and I like Nourzad more; 1st team All-Ivy League at RT before transferring to the BIG10 and earning 2nd team All-BIG honors at LG/OC over the past two seasons in Happy Valley. He's continuting on an upward trajectory, can play most anywhere along the OL (teams love versatility, which is something Boston College OG Christian Mahogony doesn't have) and has scheme versatility (power to plan man and athletic enough to pull in wide zone).

If Nourzad "hits" as that early Day 3 OL player and the Vikings are the one's who pick him, he should see action if any of Brandel/Bradbury/Ingram struggle through the first half of the season.

I think he's going in the 4th or 5th, yes. The good IOL Day 3 prospects have all gone earlier than expected the last few years, mainly in Rd 4, as they are a premium now in the NFL. Last year Eastern Michigan's Sidy Sow and UCLA's Jon Gaines II were two solid IOL prospects I had my eye on in Rd 5 or Rd 6 and both were gone in Rd 4, and I wouldn't be shocked at all if Nourzad is one of those solid IOL prospects plucked in the 4th this year.

I have played around with those mocks quite a bit.  Last night I offered up the 11 and Addison with the Cardinals, which. they took, and had my choice between Harrison and Nabers.  I drafted Harrison and passed on JJM at 4.
