Looking at the Roster which positions do you see a Rookie having the shortest path to getting on the field in Year 1?
For me it has to be WR3. Edge is likely a Day 3 flyer. IDL is possible only if Kwesi sticks & picks one of Murphy/Newton. No other IDL is a lock to beat out Bullard/Tillery/Williams, which is kinda sad.
CB seems set with Murphy, Griffin & Blackmon. A Rookie would also likely be Day 3 and need to surpass Evans, Booth and Blackmon to get on the field. Obviously not Safety.
IOL is interesting only if Kwesi again sticks and picks JPJ or Graham Barton OR he trades back with either #11 or #23 to get a Day 2 Pick. I just don't see any Day 3 guys that I believe are shoeins to beat the current IOL. Again, not good. TE isn't likely. Same for RB unless it's a true scat back/receiver type.
For me only ILB is up there with WR3. Dye is gone. So that's Pace and Cashman. But Metellus takes a lot of those snaps too.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin leans on 11 Personnel to start the season. He talks a lot about his TE depth and then proceeds to target Oliver like twice a game.
Brandon Powell is more of a WR4/Returner to me. Nailor makes Booth look like the model of health.
So I'm looking at WR3. With a Day 3 selection. Who's on your radar?
