McCarthy or Multiple?

I think they target Maye and then McCarthy and then Penix in the bottom of the first if it came to that which IMO would be a fail for me. I think they need to get as far up as they see fit and get the top target of their's. The only reason option 2 exists is too much to get to the top guy or can't trade with a team that wants him. I honestly think it will be between picks 3-5 and that will be for the top 2 wants. If it comes to option 3 then its just to get a QB and I don't like that option when you're actually targeting a QB. There's a drop off for me between Maye and McCarthy then a huge one past that. I don't want Williams or Daniels for different reasons. One for character the other for scheme fit.

No on Penix and Nix. If that happens then its a huge overreach. I'm talking for the Vikings don't care about any others and what they do.

The 16 spots is just kinda weird because multiple teams could easily jump Minnesota at 11 or before 23 because they have no way to move up from 23 unless they spend more picks which would be counter productive vs moving up from 11. If you have to give up more do it upfront and get the best target not the worst of the ones you like. That's Ponderish territory.

Not necessarily. Nobody knows how the draft will play out. Maybe only one or two QBs go in the top ten. Then we pick one at 11 and 23 becomes a Denny-famous bonus pick. We sit tight. When 23 rolls around, the fourth or fifth QB may still be there and our phone is ringing. We might be able to trade it for more value than we paid for it. I don't know. You don't know.
