My issue with Nix is the ceiling. Which is Cheap Cousins. Ceiling, not floor. Meaning he has work to do to get there.

The Floor is pretty good just like Daniels and Maye. All 3 of these guys are really good in Shotgun running Quick Game. Sure, O'Connell (frustratingly) doesn't call a lot of Quick Game. But it is in the arsenal. They run a series or two most games strictly from Shotgun while spreading out the receiving options.

Bo is good at reading Defenses pre-snap and distributing the ball to where it needs to go based on what the Defense is giving him. But Kevin also wants his QB to make a post-snap read and adjust. All of these kids have some tape of going 1 to 2 to 3 and even 4. But most of the time they are all throwing to 1 or going to the 2nd read or running.

Here's some actual anonymous Scout quotes about Bo from the Athletic:

One Scout: "He checks down a lot. The longer the play goes on, the more concerning it gets. But he's improved".

Another Scout: "When everything is clean, like it usually was, he's lights out. With pressure, or when his reads not quite as sharp, he tends to bail backwards or sideways and not drive forward. In the NFL you have to push forward."

Another Scout: "When things shift on him, he holds the ball too long. If he's clean he's fine and can put it in the right spot. My biggest question is whether he will adapt when the picture changes."

And a final Scout: "He's always been a little fidgety. But he improved this year."

There was another that said he doesn't take chances or push the ball down the field but lauded him with how well he takes care of the ball, that he's good at calling out protections and that he'll look Safeties off with his eyes.

I see all of that in his tape. Frankly, Penix as well. They're both aces when they get the correct pre-snap read AND get protected. Neither one reacts well to missing the pre-read or getting pressured. Daniels also doesn't handle pressure well. The difference is he takes off and runs for 30 yards. Nix does run. And will make off-platform throws. But Maye and McCarthy both do that more often and better.

I see Nix as pre-O'Connell Cousins. He'll need some coaching up on staying on his initial read instead of bailing to the checkdown. And he'll need help with post-snap reads. To make all the throws he's going to need to stop throwing off his back foot. Maye and Penix need to quit doing that as well because it hurts their accuracy, but they were able to get away with it at the college level because they have much stronger arms.

Bo is around Carson Beck next year if Carson stays about the same. Late 1st, early 2nd grade but I do think he can start and get to the lower end of the Tier 2 QBs. For that to work on a Rookie deal Kwesi would need Free Agency and the '25 1st Round Pick to fix Center, LG, CB1 and find an interior pass rusher.

Maye has Tier 1 potential. It will take some coaching up but it's there. McCarthy has upper Tier 2 potential. Dak, Kirk at his best, Goff at his best. To me, that brings more value. But I'm not going to criticize whomever they pick. As long as they actually pick someone.

Yes, its meaningful. Pinex wasn't setting the BIG10 on fire before he was injured in any of the 4 years. What else is meaningful is he couldn't finish a year healthy. He would have never put up those numbers in the BIG10 even if healthy. May want to look into them.

Nix was part of the bad team at Auburn. Maye was on a bad UNC team didn't transfer and still put up elite numbers. Nix only put inflated stats up playing in a weak PAC12 on a gimmick offense that stats show. Anything meaningful for NFL success doesn't fit under Nix success in college. Some stats matter.

See this is where reading comprehension fails you again. That was a quote taken from a Georgia fan that knew of Nix as a Tiger and what he's like playing vs top tier talent (UGA). That's when you input more excuses. I think it was something about his first game at Oregon. It wasn't Auburn. 49-3 No excuses.

Nah let's keep the discussion on track. What you did was entertain the notion that Nix failed at Auburn was due to he was on a bad team. He may have been, but he didn't elevate them nor carry them or put up stats that reflectsa elite QB. Maye was in the same circumstance yet did all that.

Again, let's keep things on track. I said the PAC12 QBs play in a weak conference. In other words the defense are weak and inflate the PAC12 QBs stats. Auburn stats of Nix. Indiana stats on Pinex. Its not just because of "maturity or health" they improved in the PAC12. By the way the PAC12 is done. Will see how the old PAC12 does in different power conferences.

Actually Daniels was a PAC12 QB (ASU) that transferred to the SEC. I actually only like a BIG10 QB that won a national title game and a ACC kid that proved himself on a bad team. Both play much tougher defenses. So no struggles on my end.

You may want to read up on Nix maturity issues and get back with me. You can also look into Williams issues because they both have them and are both weaknesses others don't have.

They think that all four are high potential / high risk and just confirming that they can't really distinguish any meaningful differences in their values.  This is the opposite of "decide who your one and only guy is and waste whatever it takes to go up and get him."  They further hope that some team following the contrary strategy (as embraced by several here), will get nervous and pay an astronomical price to move up to two to "get their guy".  Washington will laugh all the way to the draft capital bank and wind up getting one of the four for a modest price (e.g. 11th or 23rd pick in the first round).  They'll keep laughing when the guy they "settle" for outperforms the smart-guy's guy.
