I don't know that college coaches have an inherent great insight on the NFL talent in college. For one thing, Michigan played 15 different teams last year, out of 258 FBS and FCS teams, so it's not exactly the view of a bird flying over the entire forest, more of a wolverine following a small path near a small number of individual trees. Very few college coaches have transitioned to the NFL and proven to have better scouting skills than the rest of the league.
I actually think Harbaugh is sharper than most college coaches and has proven it because he already succeeded at the NFL level. I wish he was running the Vikings. But does that make him someone we want to make a deal with? Ideally, KAM needs to make a deal with someone not as smart as he is. I've heard lots of talk about trading for #5 but I think the Vikings should be aiming for #4, if not 3.
It's better than 42, but better than having that plus our 2025 2nd? The Texans thought 23 was less valuable. It depends whether we gave up 2025 pick #33 or #64 or wherever it lands. Big gamble by both teams.
So yeah, its Chargers or bust
Besides the Cardinal fans after I listened to them are scoffing at Daniel Jeremiahs last mock draft. They want the Vikings first round pick next year. I think that is an illusion. Kwesi gets fired in few years if he makes that trade. Yes the 49ers traded 3 first round picks for Trey Lance, which all happened to be late round picks, and the trade was a small disaster for the 49ers too.
Besides the Cardinals want Harrison Jr, who probably is the best player in the draft.
