It really wouldn't make any sense to finalize a second trade until the targets are on the clock.

It starts at #2. I'm sure Washington will at least take Kwesi's call. It would be negligent not to do so. Nothing about KAM and his drawing lines in the sand suggests he's going to offer some massive overpay that talks the Commanders into doing that deal.

Then it becomes who Washington selects. Daniels fits the Kingsbury scheme better. Maye is by far the Consensus higher graded player. And it's not like he's some statue that can't execute RPOs or isn't a threat in designed QB Runs. He's just not the Elite threat Daniels is.

IF Washington takes Maye, which I think is highly likely, then why wouldn't Kwesi be smart to already be sitting at #3? I legitimately don't think Kevin is all that interested in Jayden Daniels.

Minnesota was 1st in Passes Over the Middle of the Field from 1 to 10 Yards and 2nd in 11-20 yards. Last year Daniels had a whopping 9.3% attempts in that 11-20 window. The year before it was 11.8%. Jayden excels at throwing 20+ yards down the field outside the hashmarks. As does Penix. Those windows just aren't common hallmarks for most NFL Offenses, let alone what O'Connell emphasizes.

Yes, KOC can absolutely adapt his scheme. But is it really worth trading that much capital for a QB that you have to adapt your system to?

The other wildcard is Marvin Harrison Jr. He's the best Player in this Class. About as surefire of a 'next Justin Jefferson' as it gets. Does New England really pass on him and the tremendous value of getting the #1 Player at #3? Talk about getting revenge for all the times Belicheat missed on Receicers in the Draft & FA.

Of course one of Maye & Daniels will be sitting there at #3. It could certainly be difficult for Eliot Wolf to convince Kraft to make him the GM if his first major move running a Draft is to pass on a QBOTF. Sure, their Roster sucks. But they already have a lot of picks. And a Rookie QB can sit behind Brissett instead of being tossed in the deep end ala Fields/Wilson.

The same Harrison Jr. argument applies to Arizona. But they could decide to take two swings at WR if Marvin goes #3. Heck, they could don that regardless.

I believe Kwesi & Eliot have spoken about New England being open for a trade IF Maye is there. And Kwesi & Monti have spoken about the same regarding McCarthy. Doubtlessly also with LAC.

But everything starts once Washington turns in that card. If it's Daniels things get interesting. If it's Maye it's likely a foregone conclusion that the Vikings are moving up to #4 or #5 for McCarthy.

Yes the 49ers traded 3 first round picks for Trey Lance, which all happened to be late round picks, and the trade was a small disaster for the 49ers too.

Disagree with you thinking the Vikings are not interested in McDaniels. this guy is Randal Cunningham with faster feet. I think he goes number 2. Heck I would take him number 1. Hes electric.

If they approached us with that offer Kwesi should have turned it down. Even an idiot knows not to accept their first offer. We might have been able to get it with next years 3rd instead of 2nd.

Context... perhaps the initial trade didn't have the 7th kicked back to us, who knows. I wouldn't take it as there was zero negotiation. Little details like that can easily get lost in a story about 2 seconds for the first. And it's quite possible Houston gave us that offer and said this is on the table, period. That can happen too. But you have been on record of being in favor of this trade. I look at it as an easy way of being able to get a QBOTF if that's the desire, and I don't consider it to be much of an overpay to do so, so I like it... regardless of who approached who. It's not like the outcome would have changed too much.

One parting thing about Kwesi, dont be so impatient. Spielman wasnt and he lasted a decade in the league. Kwesi is too impatient, let the draft come to Vikings dont chase talent let it fall to you dude. Seriously, we spent two second rounders on the capacity to be agressive in the the draft?

And I disagree with Mel I dont think McCarthy will make it too number 11.

if you have a predisposition to automatically dislike Kwesi and every move he makes then I guess you will think this way
