^I keep wondering when the Twin Cities will get to host an NFL Draft.
There hasn't really been a pattern to how the NFL determines the host city: AFC / NFC, cold weather cities first, cities that haven't hosted a Super Bowl, etc, so I don't know what it's going to take for the Twin Cities to host it.
There are two Draft-related "events" that the NFL can possibly rotate: the Combine and the Draft. The Combine can probably only be relegated to those cities with indoor stadiums while the Draft can be held pretty much anywhere, as-is evident by Green Bay - one of the coldest cities to host an NFL team - hosting the Draft in 2025.
After next year, every city/team in the NFC North will have hosted an NFL Draft except for one: the Twin Cities/Vikings...
If I remember right, any city that wants to host the draft has to submit a bid and then team owners vote on which city wins, and it is not always the highest bid that wins and is more based on the location owners think will get the best return investment, chosen from the submitted bids.
I read an article not too long ago about the Combine going to the same bidding format as the draft and this year was the first time Indianapolis had to bid on it after 35+ years of hosting, so I would expect it to start moving around every year also in the near future.
