Fair enough, I did also have Ferrell in the #14-24 range in that draft. Mike Mayock ain't in the league any longer... and usually when a team has a player ranked way above consensus they are wrong (because in most [but not all] cases the other 31 teams are going to be right compared to that 1 team).

Arizona isn't, Kyler is their guy for now and their roster is in desperate need of talent. They have nothing at WR and have two of the best WR prospects in a long while just sitting there.

The Titans are going to give Levis time. No way are they going QB again.

Pittsburgh will give Pickett competition but they aren't going QB in the 1st round. They hate giving up on 1st round picks and are going to give Pickett every chance to win the job.

Most rankings (not draft projections, rankings) have Penix and Nix in the early 20s, some also have McCarthy there and Penix in the mid 2nd. This group isn't like 2 years ago, but I still bet at least 5 go in the 1st, whether 1 is to us or not.

Whiskey talk the other night at the bar- we trade Jefferson, get a top 3 pick but keep 11...and get both Daniels and his favorite receiver, Nabors.

If this team really want to piss me off then… Trade JJ resign Kirk and either get none of the top four and get Pennix. That’s the quickest way to completely drown my hopes.

I’m just glad I stopped making my threads about what I think we should do or hope. Wasting time and energy. I felt it coming, they about to do nothing but show how incompetent they really are. They might trade JJ and pay Kirk WTF. My grandson could build this team better and he’s a baby not even 1 yet.

Levis had a huge arm and issues with accuracy and knowing when to run coming out.

Jordan Travis was 5th in Heissman voting. 5th. He will never have Levis' golden arm but he's literally had everything else. His accuracy got a little wonky this year when the incompetent OC tried to turn FSU into Air Coryell for stretches and they completely forgot how to run the ball.

Jordan's issues are average arm strength and suffering a terrible leg injury that shouldn't hinder him at all going forward. Levis' issues are 90% mental. Slow processor, bad pocket presence, inconsistent accuracy. Very different prospects but not far apart at all if Travis hadn't been injured.

I still need to do more work on Travis, I will admit that. From the consensus he's about at a 4th round grade, but once I get more info from my favorite sources I will have a more concrete opinion.

On Levis, I did have him as a mid-1st round prospect. I did some looking back and saw that some of my sources like Dane Brugler (who called Levis' accuracy "average" and "passable") and PFF (gave him a 1st round grade). But I now see that when I started using PFF's draft grades over their yearly ratings I completely missed that his overall grade dropped from 90.6 in 2021 to 68.6 in 2022. That's a humongous drop and I'm surprised I missed that. In hindsight, his drop to the 2nd round makes a ton of sense. I knew he was raw but not that raw.

And I do see that Charlie Campbell, probably the sharpest of my draft sources, had issues with his accuracy which made him a borderline 1st-2nd round pick... for almost 24 year old rookie. It's kinda funny how I missed this, yet I perfectly predicted Hooker falling to the 3rd round.

lol have you watched an Oregon game since the Chip Kelly days? I'd hardly call the Oregon offense any more gimmicky than any other college offense these days. The lowest I've seen Bo ranked is mid 20s....I've seen McCarthy in the 40s and 50s more often than the 1st rd. Now, I've not seen JJ nearly as much as Nix and I realize he's younger...but that doesn't mean he'd be more ready at 25 than Bo is right now IMO
