Year 3 with KAM & KO - How we feelin'?

Tbh, firing them won't be much good this year anyway, I'm just tired of this stupidity. They have like 3 picks in next years draft. You won't get too many talented coaches or GMs that want to deal with that.

Success looks like a good team with good players competing for championships. The Vikings haven't consistently done that since about 2015 to 2019. They struggle to draft difference makers under this front office.

If the Wilfs have reservations about Kwesi I hope they cut bait before we enter next offseason. With the abundance of cap space they will have they need a guy who will be here for the long haul, not someone spending money to save their job

I get the criticism of KAM but I don't understand the elevation of KOC to hero status. What exactly has he accomplished? A hot start as a rookie HC, mostly due to the bounce from getting Zimmer off everyone's backs. 12-14 since then with some real embarrassing moments and losses, and seriously questionable in-game decisions and play calls.

Other than being captain rah-rah in the locker room I don't get it.

Exactly this. Ownership and the path chosen even before the hires based on their own words are the biggest reason this team is now in the likely down year stage of a rebuild despite it being year 3 of this regime. Can't blame Kwesi for that direction with everything we know imo and it prevented him from making the moves many are saying should have been made that would have set us up better long term. Appeasing the Wilfs and their "competative rebuild" is what cost us those assets and lead to those decisions. 

Kwesi to me has some positives and negatives but I did like this last offseason the most. I hated his first offseason the most as well in comparison. So I see sort of a steady improvement on how things are handled as we shift to a more long term approach with less need to satisfy the initial competative part of the mandate. It's also worth noting that the first draft may have been with scouts he did not choose and sort of had to roll with.

So overall it does suck that in year 3 of a new regime we are likely to be projected around 7 wins and worst in the division. That is not all on Kwesi by any means though and I think given what ownership pushed for initially that he should get a legitimate chance to finish building what he has started. KOC to me is a bit overrated to some nationally but also sort of underrated at times among our fans. I do see some of the issues that people point out, especially the run and screen game. I just also haven't really seen a Vikings offense that so consistently has people wide open downfield since maybe my early years watching Moss/Carter/Reed (even then it was less Moss being open, more him catching it despite there being 2-3 defenders if my memory is correct). 

KAM doing alright in the cap area. His overall drafting has to get better. Not counting this one yet but it was a small class. With small classes a few misses can make a draft weak long term rapidly. 2022 steady dwindling down and 2023 getting sketchy by the day also. We need more guys who can at least stick around the rookie deal more.

Not saying fired but the results need to be more plentiful. His seat potentially seem hotter than KO. Not that it’s boiling but we need more young guys on defense.We have like 3 picks with a lot of vets. Outside of Turner and Pace who we high on as sure long term prospects.25 and younger? It has to get better.

He needs guys like LDR, McGlothern and a few of these young rushers to hit and flash this year.
