So who gets the start next week? It's a must-win

As much as I hate to admit it, KOC is borderline masterful at scheming WRs open, so I'm not worried about that aspect. The throws will be there, the questions are; will Hall see them, and can he accurately make those throws?

I'm confident Hall can make every throw an NFL QB needs to make with his arm strength, but DCs usually feast on rookie passers, especially the ones getting their first(ish) run with the big boys. So, the question is, will they be able to confuse him with exotic blitz packages so he doesn't keep his eyes downfield to see those open receivers? Being that Barry is Ed Donatell 2.0, I doubt it.

And yes, as masterful as O'Connell is at scheming WRs open, he's equally inept at scheming RBs open running lanes, or NOT running 97% of his running plays up the effing middle! Seriously, what the....

Finally, I really hope O'Connell scripts some roll-outs to utilize what he did best in college, which was roll out to the flat and throw a perfect deep ball .....well ....at least that's what I remember from watching him. But lets be honest, he fell to the 5th round for a reason, the probability of him being Purdy-esque in his debut is about the same odds as me hitting the Powerball.

Much like you, I'm nervously optimistic with my expectations, but then again, isn't that perfectly descriptive of our entire lives as a Vikings' fans?
