After a bizarre 3-0 game, the Vikings start another new QB and will try to topple the suddenly hot Bengals. Let's see how they stack up:
Line: Bengals -3
Super Sim Calculated Line: Bengals -1
Injury Report
Vikings
RB Mattison - Out
RT O'Neill - Out
WR Nailor - Out
WR Jefferson - Questionable
G Reed - Questionable
Bengals
TE Sample - Questionable
G Carman - Questionable
I don't have time for the usual analysis, so I'll skip straight to the prediction:
Prediction: Bengals 17, Vikings 16
Both teams are in a weird spot with QB injuries and a host of other crazy things going on. I like the Vikings side of things with the line trending towards CIN -3.5, which I think is too much given how Flores' defense is firing on all cylinders. For as hot as Browning is after the past two games, I don't think he's faced anything near the complexity of Flores' defense and they will hold them. However, despite the many warts on this Bengals defense, I simply have no confidence that this offense is going to get its act together. Down O'Neill, the pass protection will likely have issues with Hendrickson and Hubbard and the run game is a risky proposition. O'Connell will likely continue to call terrible screens and Mullens will likely turn the ball over multiple times as the Vikings find another way to narrowly lose another game.
Any thoughts?
