Today's game somewhat emphasizes the fact this Vikings team is not very good. I guess a Detroit collapse could open the door for the North, which is the only seemingly way Minnesota can reach the playoffs. Not winning the Division means the Vikes have to currently best 6 of these 8 teams not leading their Division to make post-season play (Cowboys, Commanders, Giants, Rams, Seahawks, Saints, Falcons, Packers). That's a tall task.
The Bears have a great chance to have the top 2 picks in the draft and if they are happy with Fields they can really cash in both of those for some major draft capital.
It seems it may be time to make some drastic changes on this team. If not, the risk is run that another Divisional rival is probably going to own you for the next 5+ years by having a huge, impactful draft class.
Re-signing Cousins is going to swallow too much cap space to be able to address the many holes this teams has through free agency. If he was the "future" Kwesi (ugh) would've already secured Kirk the next few years.
It's time to shop Cousins in hopes of getting a 1 or 2 for him. Atlanta or NE seem like the better fits. Atlanta has a shot at being good, but not with Ridder at the helm. Shop Hunter next for a 1. See if Harry wants to look at a winner, and if he wants, see what the market offers. This would get some much needed draft capital and a chance at a QOTF, but just as important some OL and DL picks.
Hell, if the Vikings collapsed after those moves then it could open up a top 2 pick and another one or two 1st rounders to finish off the round......just thinking out loud.
