Problem is with the Vikings that Case may well still be the 3rd best QB on this team. Do you want to pay big starter money for him. Do not know the answer, but would pay Case only if in the $15 million range per year. Above that get a better QB.
What does he have to do to move past the guy who hasn't thrown a pass in 22 months, if he hasn't done it yet? Just curious, because the guy you seem to be indicating is #2 doesn't have a stretch combining team and personal success like the one Case is putting together on his resume right now. Plus the tremendous uncertainty of what exactly he'll look like when he does step back on a football field. Will he be better than he was? Than you can make an argument he's better than Case. Will he be the same or worse? Then he's not better and shouldn't be part of your future plans because you can consider your other options, be it Case Keenum, Kirk Cousins, Alex Smith...whatever, because any of those are better than a similar or worse Teddy Bridgewater.
I just am not willing to bet the house on a QB that could be having 1 great year. The big advantage Case has is you probably will not have to go over $15 million a year to keep him. Teddy will be over that, and if you decide on Bradford he probably will be over $20 a year. That affects your ability to keep a lot of your players.
