Yes! I will be watching the MNF game now. I rather watch someone struggle who is smooth and fast than the opposite.
This is Pace's worst nightmare. I'm sure someone at Halas Hallwould like to know why the Bears are paying Glennon 18 million to be terrible and now carry the clipboard. Even worse, Pace lost his second grace year. It Biscuit is bad this year and in 2018, Pace will be gone by 2019. If Glennon had even been mediocre, Pace could have survived until the 2020 season.
Oh, my. We have been through so much pain. I hope Trubisky is the real thing.
Bears play spirited football behind the rookie. It's not pretty but they pull out a narrow one.

First game I have been excited about in a long time! I'm not worried about winning or loosing in this one, just happy to see a hopeful good future! (Though, who am I kidding, of course I want a storybook win for the rook).
Really interested to see where he is in his game, how ready he is, and how he handles it. I don't think any of us will be upset with mistakes and his leash will be pretty long from a fan perspective.
Still, I hope this team plays smart. Same gameplan as first 4 games, with a few wrinkles of plays to utilize the kids skill set. Keep it simple!
That said, I say Vikes can't get their run game going with Cook out. They will be forced to pass quite a bit. Think the Bears can defend this to a good degree. Bears lean heavy on run game to allow Trubisky get comfortable. He extends drives due to several 3 rd down plays. Trubisky 16-23-213yds 2TD 1int, Howard 22-132-1td, Cohen 8-45/6-65.

I predicted this to be the first win of the year for the Bears. I will stay with the prediction of a win based more on the Vikes losing Cook and playing Keenum than on the Biscuit getting some run.
I believe it will be ugly. I see the Vikes pressuring the hell out of Biscuit and his completion % being so-so. Vikes will not be worried about the WRs and there will be the normal drops that they have been having.
Bears will also pressure Keenum/Bradford as they will not be worried about the run. I am thinking a FG battle here
Bears - 19
Vikes - 16

Trubisky fevah!!
Honestly, I don't think we are a bad team. I like our defense -- I think they can be even better playing with a lead -- and I like our running game. Having a QB that, God willing, can complete passes and keep the defense honest is going to help our run game, which is going to help our passing game, which is going to help our defense.
I hope this kid is the difference maker I pegged him to be a year ago.

I don't expect Trubisky to be perfect, but I do expect an effective offense now that the running game can actually be complemented with someone who can throw the ball.
I think there will be a couple of nice long runs courtesy of Howard and Cohen, set up by an effective passing game preventing the Vikings from playing 9 in the box.
And I think our steadily improving defense will control the Vikings second team offense.

I think Trubisky fairs decent in his first NFL start, but the problems around him are greater. He'll provide a spark but it won't be enough to beat a very stout Viking defense. We lose a close one.

I think this Bears team is actually a lot better than they have looked under Glennon. The best parts of this team didn't even really get to begin being put on display in the game against the Packers due to how the game started.

I don't see either team doing squat against these defenses. The thing about starting Trubisky is that its unclear what the Bears will do with him in there in a real game, so it will be somewhat difficult for them to gameplan against him. I have to vote against the Bears just because I'm a rebel and everybody is picking them.

The Vikings are one of the most hobbled teams in the league. Their star running back just went down with a knee thing. This will make them one-dimensional, and when Case Keenum is forced to pass the ball a lot, bad things happen. I think Loggains throws together a solid gameplan, and is excited to expand the playbook with Biscuits under center. The Bears are energized with the debut of the new QB.

Bears will still lose this one, but it won't be as frustrating as it was with Glennon under center.

Bears win this game. I'm actually pretty confident. We always win this game vs Minnesota *knock on wood* We've won 14 of our last 16 home games against them. We match-up fairly well with them too, as we saw last year.
We're missing Trevathan, but they're missing Cook. I honestly would have given us a shot with Glennon at the helm. With Trub? If he's just decent, we got this.
Bears lead 17-13 late, Trub gets the ball with 7-8 minutes left. Leads us down the field for the back breaking TD.

Its going to be a fun time to be a member of the Chicago Bears fans support group...sorry i mean "Chat Room" on game day.
Bears and Vikings: Here comes Mitch (Pretty Boy Assassin) Trubisky
I guess that's better than The Biscuit....
He really needs a nickname.

For the first time in a very long time it is exciting to be a Bears fan. Hope this will continue.
I was thrilled when Pace drafted Mitch and not even upset at the time he signed Glennon because at that time I felt he was a smokescreen. I was happy with Pace until he stated this is Glennon's year and stuck with it.. to me this means Pace is an idiot but at least not a complete idiot.
OutFoxed was a horrible hire from day one, he was horrible in Denver and yet the dumb Bears hire this guy. I'm not really sure why Mitch was not allowed to play from day one, was it OutFoxed? Was it Pace? Don't for sure know but no matter what I really hope this OutFoxed last year.
If Mitch does really well and somehow the Bears miss the playoffs by a single game then Pace and entire company should be fired for tossing away a season. Of course this won't happen because this would be viewed as a great turn around.
Is it Monday yet?

Everyone on the team is gonna be energized Monday. If we can beat a talented Pittsburgh I think our chances may be decent against Minnesota now that we possibly have a QB.
Definitely feels like a very winnable game with Bradford (potentially) not playing and Cook done for the year.
Nice thing is we got mitch in early enough where we can more or less still control our destiny. It would be hard. But we can gain 2 games on the lions and Vikings if we can beat them.
I don't expect us to have a magical turnaround. But at least there is a chance.

Having a chance makes all the difference in watchability.
I'm excited for the rest of the season now.
