It was a pretty nice turnaround to go from losing all those games in the last minute to winning a bunch though wasn’t it?
You can literally change 4 lucky bounces, plays that had nothing to do with player skill or coaching, and get the Vikings to 9-8. That's the only difference between the 2022 and 2021 Vikings, the amount of luck. I can change 3 unlucky bounces in 2021 and get them to 11-6. Like a Greg Joseph miss at the buzzer, Dalvin Cook being ruled down before he fumbled, Dantzler not dropping a game ending INT, Josh Allen not fumbling a snap in his own EZ, Braxton Berrios not dropping a 4th down TD pass etc.
Yeah ok statman......I didn't expect O'Connell to coach the team to 13 wins in his first year. Do you consider the 2019, 2020, and 2021 Green Bay Packers huge fraud teams?
O'Connell lucked his way to 13 wins. He coached his way to a lot of 30 point deficits.
Most seasons hinge on a few plays here or there. The Giants beat the undefeated Patriots because some dude miraculously caught a pass with his face mask. Tom Brady’s career was launched with the tuck pass. Nearly every NFCCG loss came down to a mistake at the end of the game. It sucks but s#!t happens. The fact is the team was having negative energy with Zimmer at the end and KOC brought positivity. Just believing you can win can make a difference and this season it did.
