I don't believe this whatsoever - it's fine that his opinion that Maye is a level below the others, but it's far too early to say he will be there for sure at #11. Seeing how the consensus ranks Maye as a top 3 QB, maybe he falls a few spots but teams would likely trade up for him. I have little doubt the Vikings would do what it takes to move up for him given his fit in O'Connell's system and the connections he has.
We've talked in another thread about Simms' other QB rankings, like putting Matt Corral as the top QB in the 2022 class and Kellen Mond as a top 4 QB in 2021... he likes to make his rankings conflict with the consensus and he's been wrong more often than the consensus is.
