I was coming here to post the same thing... Mundt is pretty redundant now... though as I understand it, Oliver isn't known to be healthy...
I still don't get this... is it a competitive rebuild or not? The defense needs about 6 starters, and I suspect the most they get in the draft is 2. I'm guessing Flores didn't come here to be hamstrung like that. I've got to think they're going to make some moves on that side of the ball.
It's early. There are still 5 ILBs out there and 4 CBs too. A couple of good DTs as well. Agents and Players agree to deals on their timelines. I'm sure if GMs had their way these TE2 signings would happen at the end and the big name signings would happen right away to keep the fanbase from going bonkers.
I had a similar thought. The order of the signings matters less than the names on the roster in August. We weren't going to be able to sign all the level 1 FAs to fill the holes on D. It's going to be about Flores being a lipstick master in a pig pen to some degree. I would expect Hicks level guys coming in with specific roles in mind to position them to succeed. Can't say I'm shocked, Hoody has been doing things that way for decades and we hired a Hoody guy to run the D. I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop on how we're getting under the cap by Wednesday to pay for even B and C-tier guys.
