If he thinks he is going to get more than 32 million on the open market, he has taken a few too many shots to the head. The Saints wanted a reworked deal, he didn't and vetoed the trade. It is the only thing that makes sense.

He also vetoed it because he wanted control of where he went and didn't want the Raiders to get any compensation for him

Gotcha, looks like my estimate was on the money. But it does look like the Saints didn't want his original deal... kinda a silly move on their part, Carr had the leverage and had no reason to take a pay cut.

Even if the plan is to do that I still wish they would grab a developmental guy this year too. Just a late round guy to work with and see if something shakes out. That's if they can come up with a late pick to spare.
