My "fantasy" is the strategy both Kwesi and KOC have said is a good way to build a championship and is just common sense. You think it isn't?

The players voted Kirk the #6 QB in the NFL and the #42 overall player in the NFL. I will take the players view over the haters.

It goes to show that the players view QB wins > QB stats, especially with how Kirk's efficiency numbers dipped in 2022. 4th quarter comebacks and late-game wins are going to count more than passing for 4000+ yards and 30+ TDs to them.

Can't wait to review this thread in 2 years after Cousins is gone.

My oh my have things changed around here. Extend Kirk huh lol. Heck nah we will be looking through couches again for change penny pinching. We going to have to find the QB we want and give up the draft for him it that simple unless we get lucky with a Hall or someone we going to have to pay the price to come up sooner rather than later.

We simply can't keep playing these money games with Kirk cause we have younger fish to fry and pay. No thank you. Matter fact if Kwesi does that I am losing faith, because how we been moving this offseason, it only makes sense if Kirk leaving. This offseason only makes sense if he leave if he stay this offseason was questionable. We have to stop being afraid take the chance and believe in the guy you target and coach them up like the good teams do.

That is why KOC here, ultimately he going to have to get and develop his QB if he want to be here like a decade. KOC can do it I believe in him, he will embrace it and take on that challenge.

I like the idea of reviewing old threads, but it can be a lot of work. I was actually thinking about doing a short article on our early 2022 draft talks and the scuttlebutt about why taking a WR would be a bad idea... and then they did and suddenly the criticism vanished.

Plus it'd take forever just to read this massive thread... but I think it will depend on how Kirk is playing in 2025. Is he still the same guy at 37? When does the regression begin to hit him? I assume that is a big factor of why this front office is hesitant to extend him with the usual fully guaranteed deal.

Perhaps he could be the next Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady and play well in their late 30s. Philip Rivers started to decline at 38, Eli Manning was about 35-36. Matt Ryan started to regress at 36 and totally fell off a cliff at 37 - and like Kirk he went the span of 12 years missing just 1 game due to injury.

Drafting the QB of the future is a huge risk, but there is also plenty of risking in guaranteeing Kirk a $40M+ per year deal into his late 30s.
