yes Donatell has to go. The worst part is the defense doesnt attack the ball well, there too soft. That is not Viking football. I want the corners lining up close to there man and using that first five yards to get physical on them.

Guy I like in draft, Brian Branch, Alabama. A safety who can cover and hit hard. This fixes so many things. I wish he was a little bigger but at number 23 they all got some warts. Additionally he could play next to Cine, who is a big physical safety.

If Will Levis should slide do you like him? I like his skills, but hes kind of a cocky ass.

BTW, what the Jets and Pats need is, exactly a quarterback like Kirk Cousins.

( and if HOck wont take 10 million a year, trade him for draft capital and say goodbye.) Heck they can make him play next year for 9 million. We also got a franchise tag, and if we want JJ has to stay here period. We can keep JJ for two more years without using the franchise tag. Oh but now he is not happy? Look when you make millions a year and are not happy doing it something is really rotten.

Then blow up the defense. Bring back Shelley and Tomlinson and go young across the board.

I'm a firm No on Will Levis. I used to live in Lexington and have seen a fair amount of their games. He looks the part. Play doesn't necessarily reflect that.

Frankly, I'm leery of guys who regressed in their last year. Christian Ponder was killing it his Jr. Year before he got hurt. Regressed his Senior Season and carried that into the Pros.

You're wasting 2 years of his Rookie deal while you rebuild the Defense too.

I like Branch but from an Asset Allocation standpoint I don't want to spend two 1st Round picks on Safeties. Edge or CB is the way to go, IMO.

It was up to him and Tomlinson to keep Daniel Jones from turning on the jets and running up the middle. Last year I wanted the Vikings to draft Jordan Davis in the first round. If he were on the roster that defense doesnt look like quite the project it is without him. That hole up the middle has to be dealt with or we will continue to suck on defense.

Sorry, this is a bad take for many reasons. Tomlinson and Phillips are supposed to eat blocks so Hicks and Kendricks can get clean looks at stopping runners. Phillips was 7th against the run with the Bills. He also out snapped Jordan Davis by a country mile. Neither can rush the passer with any consistency.

Spending a 1st Round pick on a Run Stuffing Nose Tackle-only is something Contenders ala the Eagles do when they are a piece or two away. Jordan Davis was poorly conditioned and couldn't get after the passer despite being surrounded by Top 10 rushers in college. He's no Vita Vea or Kenny Clark.

Horrible Harry Phillips is not getting paid a ton for what he does. It was a good signing. The ILBs are the problem.

As for Edge, Zimmer and Patterson coached up Hunter from the mid-Rounds and who else? And Jones II looked much better this year in the 3-4. He was also picked in a historically shallow Draft due to the pandemic. Most years he's a late 4th Rounder.

Wonnum was a Patterson reach and a bust. Just like Scott Chrichton and that kid from OSU. Zimmer and Patterson also couldn't Draft DTs. Hence signing guys like Lindval Joseph and Tom Johnson and Dalvin Tomlinson.

If it's an upgrade go for it. Tomlinson has been solid, but not angame changer. Maybe they can back load a contract? Besides if we can win at the line of scrimmage that will help the secondary too.

Sorry, this is a bad take for many reasons. Tomlinson and Phillips are supposed to eat blocks so Hicks and Kendricks can get clean looks at stopping runners. Phillips was 7th against the run with the Bills. He also out snapped Jordan Davis by a country mile. Neither can rush the passer with any consistency.

Spending a 1st Round pick on a Run Stuffing Nose Tackle-only is something Contenders ala the Eagles do when they are a piece or two away. Jordan Davis was poorly conditioned and couldn't get after the passer despite being surrounded by Top 10 rushers in college. He's no Vita Vea or Kenny Clark.

Horrible Harry Phillips is not getting paid a ton for what he does. It was a good signing. The ILBs are the problem.

As for Edge, Zimmer and Patterson coached up Hunter from the mid-Rounds and who else? And Jones II looked much better this year in the 3-4. He was also picked in a historically shallow Draft due to the pandemic. Most years he's a late 4th Rounder.

Disagree, sure Phillips had more snaps because Davis was injured, but when Davis is healthy and can stay it he can control the middle, Phillips and Tomlinson cant. I want physical, this Viking team is so weak in the middle, and hasnt been the same since Anthony Barr knee went out. Bresse out of Clemson or Cambell out of Iowa is going in the right direction. and if Davis ever stays healthy hes worth two tackles in the middle pass rush or not.

Branch is my favorite player in the draft that might be attainable at our draft spot. He could play Safety/Nickel/CB. I would the love the versitility of looks he could bring for a defense

Yes, run stuffing d in the first round is not the way to go.

Ojulari would be a scheme fit, dont expect much run support from him though. Would he be better than Patrick Jones, I don't know...
